Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has declared that the Democrats’ “gender ideology” is part of the Left’s “spiritual warfare” against children.
During a new podcast interview with two of her fellow Republican congresswomen, Greene discussed her bill banning irreversible “transgender” medical treatments and surgeries for children.
Green warned that those opposing her bill and pushing gender ideology are spreading “Satan’s lie to vulnerable children.”
She continued by accusing one of Georgia’s biggest megachurches of training youth pastors to affirm teens’ new “gender identities” and pronouns.
During her appearance on the Republican Study Committee’s podcast “Right to the Point,” Greene said:
“That should never happen in church because that is confirming Satan’s lie to these vulnerable children.”
GOP Reps. Mary Miller (R-IL) and Diana Harshbarger (R-TN) also joined the podcast for Wednesday’s episode alongside Greene.
The podcast interviews members of Congress every week from Capitol Hill.
Both Miller and Harshbarger are co-sponsors of Greene’s bill, the Protect Children’s Innocence Act.
The legislation seeks to ban puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and transgender surgeries for children dubbed “gender-affirming care” by the Left.
“Gender-affirming care” includes life-altering surgical procedures such as double mastectomies and genital removals and modifications for minors.
Greene said she is hopeful her bill will get a vote on the House floor soon.
“President Trump is ready to sign it into action,” Greene revealed.
Rep. Mark Alford (R-MO), who hosted the podcast, said:
“The Left tries to create language that softens things, gender-affirming care.
“What in the heck does that mean?
“You are mutilating the body of a young person.”
Harshbarger said she spent her whole life in the healthcare industry before coming to Congress.
In the House of Representatives, she now fights to protect children from radical gender ideology.
Harshbarger correctly noted that it is scientifically impossible for a person to change gender.
“God is so good when he puts us where we need to be to take care of those issues,” Harshbarger said.
“And it’s a lie from the pits of hell that you can change your sex, you can’t change your DNA.”
“It’s a great lie that Satan had from the very beginning in the Garden of Eden, and he is a liar and deceiver, and I think he’s trying to get to us,” Alford said.
“And they guilt you into if you don’t go along with this, and you’re not human, you’re not compassionate.
“No, we are compassionate.
“Gender dysphoria, why would you affirm any type of dysphoria?”
“It’s this, Marjorie, that goes back to spiritual warfare,” Harshbarger said.
“When the pastors from the pulpit do not condemn evil, and they uphold what is wrong, what the Bible says, says, what is conceived is and what is construed is right in the end days will be looked at as is wrong, and what is wrong will be looked at as right.”
“The truth sets people free,” Miller said.
“We cannot lie about this.
“And I want to say that evil never retreats on its own, only when it’s confronted by a more powerful force.
“And number one, we have President Trump. He’s a strong leader.
“But all of us that have been elected to Congress, we want to be a force against evil.”
Miller said their opponents have told them they can have their beliefs, but only in their private spaces.
“Go to your home or be quiet,” opponents insist, according to Miller.
“We are not going to do that anymore,” she said.
“And whether it’s teachers or it’s in government, the whistleblowers, people that parents that are speaking up.”
“But we need legislators,” she added.
“We need brave parents, whistleblowers.
“We need to shed light on all the evil and dark things that have been happening in our country, and praise God that it is happening.”
