New footage has emerged showing the moment an anti-ICE agitator was shot while accelerating toward federal agents during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis.
The incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. local time as federal agents were conducting operations in South Minneapolis near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue in the Powderhorn community.
According to authorities, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer fatally shot a woman on Wednesday after officials said she attempted to use her vehicle to run over federal officers during a targeted enforcement action.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement that rioters began blocking ICE officers when one of the rioters allegedly attempted to “weaponize her vehicle” to strike law enforcement personnel, describing the act as “domestic terrorism.”
“An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement, and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots,” the agency stated.
“He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.”
“The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased,” DHS added.
“Thankfully, the ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.”
DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that ICE agents were involved in a shooting after what she described as a far-left anti-ICE activist attempted to run them over.
“Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism,” she wrote.
McLaughlin said one officer opened fire after fearing for his life.
DHS further confirmed that the driver, identified only as a woman believed to be a U.S. citizen, was shot and killed.
McLaughlin added:
“This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement.
“These men and women who are simply enforcing the law on the books are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.”
Eyewitness footage from multiple angles was uploaded to social media, showing the woman’s dark SUV boxing in federal agents as they exited a scene.
At least four agents approached the vehicle and instructed her to exit.
The footage shows the woman turning the vehicle and accelerating forward, prompting an agent directly in front of the SUV to open fire.

The official Minneapolis X account said the city was aware of a shooting involving federal law enforcement near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue and urged the public to “avoid this area.”
Following the shooting, a large crowd surrounded federal agents and hurled projectiles as they attempted to leave the scene before Minneapolis Police took control of the area.
Federal officials noted that agents nationwide have faced multiple vehicle-ramming attempts during immigration operations, and ICE has reported a 1,300% increase in attacks targeting agents over the past year.
