Rapper Nicki Minaj made clear this week that she is standing firmly with President Donald Trump, brushing off backlash and saying the criticism she receives only strengthens her support.
Minaj appeared Wednesday at the Trump Accounts Summit, where she was brought onstage by the president alongside Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary.
The crowd erupted in applause as she joined them, prompting Trump to remark:
“We did pretty well with your community.”
Addressing the audience, Minaj said the hostility she faces from critics has had the opposite of its intended effect.
“I will say that I am probably the president’s number one fan,” Minaj said.
“And that’s not going to change.
“And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all.
“It actually motivates me to support him more.”
She added that the attacks against Trump and his supporters are failing.
“We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and the smear campaigns,” Minaj said.
“It’s not going to work.
“He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen.”
O’Leary also addressed the audience, praising Trump’s pro-business agenda and thanking him on behalf of American entrepreneurs.
“On behalf of all the entrepreneurs in America, I’d like to thank you, Mr. President,” O’Leary said.
“We create 72 percent of the jobs — companies with five to 500 employees — and all we care about is policy.
“We love pro-business policy.”
Trump returned to the microphone afterward, joking about the unscheduled remarks.
“A little interlude,” the president said.
“Much better than getting Scott Bessent up.”
Minaj, widely known as the “queen of rap” following her 2010 Pink Friday debut, has increasingly stepped into the political spotlight during Trump’s second term.
The 43-year-old artist has voiced support for the president on social media and recently made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conference.
During that appearance, Minaj praised both Trump and Vice President JD Vance, saying she respects the administration for giving Americans hope during difficult times.
“They haven’t lost touch with the world,” Minaj said.
“They’re still connected to everyday Americans — younger people, older people, rich and not so rich.
“They’re real, and they make us feel proud to be American.”
Despite previously backing Democrat candidates, Minaj has said her support for the current administration is rooted in authenticity, leadership, and a belief that Trump and Vance remain closely connected to the people they serve.
