Over 100,000 American Patriots Apply to Join Trump’s ICE Hiring Blitz, DHS Reveals

More than 100,000 patriotic Americans have stepped forward in just two weeks to join U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after President Donald Trump’s administration issued a nationwide call for reinforcements.

The Trump administration issued a call to action in the form of a national hiring blitz to restore law and order at the border.

Launched at the end of July, the recruitment drive aims to hire 10,000 additional ICE agents.

This dramatic expansion was made possible by funding from Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.

The initiative offers signing bonuses of up to $50,000, student loan repayment or forgiveness, and other incentives.

DHS reported 80,000 applications by August 6.

However, that number has now soared past 100,000.

“This is a defining moment in our nation’s history,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem told Fox News.

“In the wake of the Biden administration’s failed immigration policies, your country needs dedicated men and women of ICE to get the worst of the worst criminals out of our country.

“Your skills, your experience, and your courage have never been more essential.

“Together, we must defend the homeland.”

Applicants must pass medical and drug screenings, along with a physical fitness test.

ICE is recruiting for deportation officers, criminal investigators, general attorneys, and other critical positions.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons emphasized the stakes.

“In the wake of the Biden administration’s open border policies, the dedicated men and women of ICE now face unprecedented challenges in removing millions of criminal illegal aliens from our country,” Lyons said.

“We now have the funding to recruit and hire Americans who want to patriotically serve their country and protect American communities.”

Many of those answering the call say they view this as more than just a job.

It’s a mission to defend the homeland, protect families, and serve as American patriots on the front lines of national security.

The recruitment effort comes amid a dangerous climate for agents.

DHS data shows assaults on ICE personnel have skyrocketed more than 830% during riots and protests in recent years, with Noem reporting the number has now hit 1,000%.

The agency’s recruitment site assures candidates that while there is a level of risk, ICE officers receive expert training and every precaution is taken to safeguard their well-being.

The overwhelming response marks a sharp departure from the previous administration’s weakened enforcement posture and signals a renewed wave of public support for Trump’s tough border security agenda.
