Police Arrest Cincinnati Mob Attack Suspect Filmed Stomping on Victim

Another suspect has been arrested in connection with a mob attack in Cincinnati that shocked the nation, bringing the total arrests to six so far in this disturbing case.

Aisha Devaughn, 25, was taken into custody by the Fugitive Apprehension Unit early Wednesday morning.

Devaughn was arrested on charges of felonious assault and aggravated riot, WXIX-TV reported.

Devaughn’s arrest follows a viral video showing her participating in the violent assault of a woman, later identified as Holly.

In the video, Devaughn, dressed in a white bodysuit, can be seen kneeling by the victim, who is lying in the street, and delivering multiple stomps to her body.

The video, which has sparked outrage, also shows Devaughn’s wig being ripped off as someone pulls her away, but she soon returns to the scene, re-wearing the wig.

She then re-engages in the assault, just before another attacker punches the victim in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground.

The female victim at the center of the attack, known only as Holly, expressed gratitude following Devaughn’s arrest.

Holly emphasized her relief that these individuals are being taken off the streets.

“I am so thankful our police and everyone out there who are helping to save other lives by arresting these felons,” she said in a statement.

“Who knows how many other people they’ve been doing this to and attacking our innocent, for God knows how long, that no one even knows about.

“I feel blessed. Our loved ones are now a little safer.”

Devaughn’s arrest comes after a series of high-profile captures, including Patrick Rosemond, 38, who was apprehended in Fulton County, Georgia, and charged with felonious assault and aggravated riot.

Rosemond was identified as the male suspect seen on video hitting Holly during the attack.

Other suspects arrested earlier include Dominique Kittle, 37, who was charged with felonious assault and aggravated riot after allegedly striking the victim from behind and attempting to steal her wallet.

Additional suspects Jermaine Matthews, 39, Dekyra Vernon, 24, and Montianez Merriweather, 34, also face serious charges related to the mob attack.

Matthews, seen on video punching and stomping the victim, turned himself in last Tuesday and had his bond set at $270,000 after multiple charges were added.

Merriweather, who was identified as punching the victim while others stomped her in the head, had a bond set at $500,000 after it was revealed he had a history of criminal activity, including being indicted for a stolen firearm earlier in the year.

Vernon, who allegedly struck the victim before she lost consciousness, had a bond set at $200,000.

As the investigation continues, cellphone videos of the assault have circulated widely, fueling outrage and calls for justice.

The next court date for Kittle, Matthews, Vernon, and Merriweather is scheduled for Friday, as the legal process moves forward to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
