Radical New Hampshire University Professor Under Fire for Smearing Charlie Kirk, Pushing False Claims of ‘White Supremacy’

A far-left University of New Hampshire professor has come under fire after anti-conservative social media posts triggered a backlash.

Less than a day after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at Utah Valley University, Professor Chanda Prescod-Weinstein posted a series of attacks on social media criticizing the slain conservative figure.

Prescod-Weinstein, an associate professor of physics and astronomy and a core faculty member in women’s studies, published the remarks on Bluesky.

The post was in response to an opinion piece by New York Times columnist Ezra Klein.

Klein’s article was titled “Charlie Kirk Was Practicing Politics the Right Way.”

It highlighted that Kirk often engaged directly with people who disagreed with him.

Prescod-Weinstein sharply rejected that framing.

“Ezra Klein isn’t theorizing Charlie Kirk,” she wrote on September 11.

“He is theorizing politics.

“And he is saying that Charlie Kirk’s brand of white supremacy was a good way of doing politics.

“I hope you all recognize now that Ezra is a total f—— ghoul.”

She continued the criticism in a follow-up post:

“See the other thing about working for the New York Times is that means not having a real editor who will say ‘are you sure you wanna do that?’

“And actually, editors are good.”

She added: “Anyway, Ezra Klein now on record saying one of the 21st century’s most ardent white supremacists did politics the right way.”

Prescod-Weinstein has regularly posted politically charged commentary on Bluesky.

Following news of former Vice President Dick Cheney’s death on Monday, she amplified a post from another user claiming Republicans are cult members.

She also frequently reposts supporters of New York City’s radical socialist Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.

Prescod-Weinstein became a prominent figure in academic activism in 2020 when she and University of Chicago professor Brian Nord organized the “#StrikeforBlackLives” following the death of George Floyd.

The effort encouraged scientists to pause work, cancel classes, and use the day for action on racial issues.

In a letter explaining the strike, Prescod-Weinstein and Nord wrote:

“This is not about identifying with a minority or marginalized group or diversity and inclusion.

“This moment is about Black people and the conditions under which we live and work.

“It is about how white supremacy pervades my professional spaces as well as my life outside of them.”

The University of New Hampshire and Prescod-Weinstein have not commented on the backlash.
