Reid Hoffman Emailed Creepy Code Words to Epstein After Visiting His Island

Billionaire LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman is facing renewed scrutiny after newly released emails revealed a far deeper relationship with convicted child predator Jeffrey Epstein than he previously acknowledged.

The communications, which span hundreds of messages, detail discussions about visits to Epstein’s properties, exchanged gifts, and offers to help with public relations as Epstein’s sex-trafficking scandal intensified.

In one exchange cited in the documents, Hoffman described Epstein as his “very close friend.”

Emails Show Extensive Contact With Epstein

Records referenced in the discussion indicate Hoffman exchanged more than 1,700 emails with Epstein.

The communications reference multiple visits to Epstein’s properties, including:

   • Little St. James, the Caribbean island often referred to as “Pedophile Island”

   • Epstein’s New Mexico ranch

   • Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse, sometimes called the “House of Horrors”

Messages also reportedly included discussions about bringing “ice cream… for the girls” and gifting a “metal sculpture for the island.”

The reference to “ice cream” appeared to be used as a code word, though it is unclear what it refers to.

In another exchange, Hoffman responded to Epstein’s disappointment about a missed opportunity to deliver a gift, replying “likewise” and suggesting it could wait “for the next opportunity.”

Emails Referenced During Height of Epstein Scandal

Additional communications reportedly show Hoffman offering assistance with Epstein’s negative press coverage in early 2015, as scrutiny intensified over child-trafficking allegations linked to Virginia Roberts and former Prince Andrew.

The newly surfaced material comes from hundreds of pages of documents released by the Department of Justice as part of the Epstein files.

Across the files, Hoffman’s name reportedly appears more than 2,600 times, including references to the controversial 2014 “ice cream” email.

Many of the communications occurred years after Epstein pleaded guilty to child sex offenses.

Report Says Emails Followed Visits to Epstein Properties

A new report cited by Bloomberg suggests the “ice cream” messages were sent after Hoffman returned from visits to Epstein’s Caribbean island.

Similar emails were also reportedly sent after visits to Epstein’s New York mansion.

Both properties have been cited by Epstein’s victims as key locations where abuse occurred.

The documents contradict Hoffman’s long-standing claim that his interactions with Epstein were limited to fundraising activities.

Instead, they suggest a closer and more personal relationship.

Spokesperson Offers Explanation for “The Girls” Email

A spokesperson for Hoffman has claimed that the references to “the girls” in the emails referred to adult members of Epstein’s entourage who allegedly used that nickname themselves.

No evidence has been presented to support that explanation.

Reports Say Hoffman Introduced Epstein to Silicon Valley Elites

According to Forbes, Hoffman met Epstein five years after Epstein pleaded guilty to child sex crimes.

The two men also reportedly exchanged gifts.

Hoffman additionally introduced Epstein to several figures in the technology world, including Mark Zuckerberg and Peter Thiel, who later reportedly attended a dinner with Epstein.

Political Fallout Intensifies

Hoffman, a major Democratic donor and longtime opponent of President Donald Trump, has donated more than $35 million to mostly Democratic candidates.

His ties to Epstein have drawn criticism from Trump, who has called Hoffman a “sleazebag” and demanded an investigation.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed she directed the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York to investigate Epstein’s connections to several prominent figures, including Hoffman, former President Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and JPMorgan Chase executives.

Hoffman Responds

In a statement to the New York Post, Hoffman attempted to shift the focus toward Trump.

“The victims deserve justice, not delays or distractions,” Hoffman said.

“I welcome all the work that is being done by the press and those online to look into any and all Epstein connections to expose those who committed crimes.

“The Trump Administration must release all of the files and prosecute all of those responsible.
