Rudy Giuliani ‘Conscious’ & ‘Alert’ After Being Severely Injured in ‘High Speed’ Car Crash

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was hospitalized Saturday night after being struck by a car at “high speed” in New Hampshire.

Giuliani was rushed to the hospital suffering serious injuries.

Michael Ragusa, who heads Giuliani’s security, confirmed details of the incident in a statement posted to X.

“On the evening of August 30, 2025, in New Hampshire, Mayor Giuliani was involved in a motor vehicle accident,” Ragusa wrote.

According to Ragusa, Giuliani had first stopped to assist a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident.

“Prior to the incident, he was flagged down by a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident,” Ragusa said.

“Mayor Giuliani immediately rendered assistance and contacted 911.

“He remained on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety.”

Shortly afterward, while traveling on the highway in a rental car, Giuliani’s vehicle was struck from behind at high speed.

“He was transported to a nearby trauma center, where he was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg,” Ragusa noted.

Ragusa stressed that the crash was accidental.

“This was not a targeted attack,” he wrote.

“We ask everyone to respect Mayor Giuliani’s privacy and recovery, and refrain from spreading unfounded conspiracy theories.”

When asked online whether the domestic violence suspect was connected to the collision, Ragusa replied, “Random and unrelated.”

He also responded to a question about Giuliani’s security detail, writing:

“You can’t control reckless drivers hitting you from behind, my brother.”

Despite the severity of his injuries, Giuliani is reportedly doing well.

Ragusa told Fox News Digital that Giuliani is in “good spirits and recovering tremendously.”

“He’ll be released in a few days, and he’s doing great,” Ragusa said.

“Conscious, alert, strong.

“He’ll be back to business as usual this week.”

Giuliani received messages of support from political allies, including retired Gen. Mike Flynn, who served as national security adviser to President Donald Trump.

“Prayers coming your way Mayor!!!” Flynn wrote.

“Thank God you’re alright and thank you for always being there to help others in need.

“That’s why you’ll always be ‘America’s Mayor.'”

State Police identified the vehicles as a Honda HR-V and a Ford Bronco.

Giuliani was riding as a passenger in the Bronco.

Police said the Honda struck the back of the Bronco.

No charges have been filed related to the crash as police continue to investigate.

Giuliani was officially diagnosed with “a fractured thoracic vertebrae,” multiple lacerations and contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg, Ragusa said.
