Sarah Ferguson Laying Low as Ex-Prince Andrew Arrested, Home Raided by Police

Fresh uncertainty is surrounding Sarah Ferguson’s future after her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested in Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office, marking a dramatic escalation in the long-running scandal tied to Jeffrey Epstein.

Police activity unfolded on Thursday morning at Sandringham, where Andrew has been living since he and Ferguson were forced out of Royal Lodge.

Ferguson and Mountbatten-Windsor have continued living together, despite divorcing several years ago.

As Slay News reported earlier, multiple unmarked vehicles were seen at the property as detectives executed searches connected to the investigation.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the arrest of “a man in his sixties from Norfolk” and said searches were underway at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.

The suspect remains in custody.

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said the probe followed a “thorough assessment” and emphasized the need to protect “the integrity and objectivity” of the investigation while acknowledging the intense public interest.

The arrest was later confirmed by King Charles III, who issued an official statement in response.

Here is the full statement:

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

“What now follows is the full, fair, and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.

“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.

“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.

“As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.

“Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”

“Charles R”

The arrest represents the first time Andrew, eighth in line to the British throne and long shadowed by allegations linked to Epstein, has been taken into custody.

Ferguson Keeps Low Profile as Fallout Deepens

Ferguson, 66, has largely disappeared from public view amid mounting outrage over her own past ties to Epstein.

She has reportedly spent time in the French Alps and later in the United Arab Emirates, where her daughter Princess Eugenie has been working in the art world.

The former Duchess of York has not been seen publicly since September 25, 2025, when she was photographed leaving Royal Lodge.

Ferguson and Andrew, whom she once described as the “happiest divorced couple in the world,” continued living together decades after their separation.

Andrew’s arrest now places Ferguson’s already fragile public standing under renewed scrutiny.

Friends say she has privately admitted financial pressure, telling associates, “I need to get back to work. I need money.”

Previously released emails showed Ferguson repeatedly seeking financial help from Epstein and maintaining contact with him after his conviction for sex offenses involving minors.

The correspondence included an apology in which she described him as a “steadfast, generous, and supreme friend.”

Middle East Seen as Possible Refuge

Royal author Andrew Lownie, whose book entitled “The Rise and Fall of the House of York” chronicled the couple’s controversies, suggested Ferguson’s remaining prospects may lie abroad.

He argued that in Britain, neither Ferguson nor Andrew is likely to regain social acceptance, while wealthy figures in parts of the Middle East may still welcome them due to lingering royal status.

Daughters Reportedly “Appalled” by Epstein Links

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are said to be deeply troubled by newly surfaced material tied to their parents’ relationship with Epstein, including photographs and emails that have intensified public backlash.

Despite the turmoil, Eugenie recently appeared at a major art event in Doha, where she was photographed with friends and fellow attendees.

Neither Ferguson nor her daughters has so far publicly commented on Andrew’s arrest.

Investigation Moves Forward

Authorities stressed the case remains active and warned against speculation that could interfere with legal proceedings.

For Ferguson, however, the political and personal consequences may already be unfolding.

Andrew’s arrest has reignited scrutiny of the House of York’s long association with Epstein, leaving her future status, finances, and public role increasingly uncertain.
