Sen John Kennedy Shreds Jasmine Crockett’s Senate Campaign: ‘Voices in Her Head Are Not Real’

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) wasted no time unloading on Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s newly announced Senate campaign, dismissing her bid as unserious and fundamentally misaligned with Texas voters.

Appearing Sunday on “My View with Lara Trump,” Kennedy delivered one of the most pointed takedowns yet of Crockett’s sudden entry into the race.

“They need to tell her that the voices in her head are not real,” he said.

Kennedy continued by making clear he sees no path for her in a state that has trended solidly Republican under President Donald Trump’s leadership.

Crockett launched her campaign earlier this month by leaning into her long-running attacks on Trump.

In her announcement video posted to X, she stood silently while past comments from Trump played over the footage.

The stunt was intended to frame her candidacy as a direct challenge to Trump’s agenda.

Her rollout only sharpened partisan lines in Texas.

Republican leaders quickly dismissed her as out of step with the priorities of the state’s voters.

Kennedy argued that Crockett’s rhetoric and policy positions reflect the national Democratic Party rather than Texas values.

During her campaign kickoff in Dallas, Crockett declared:

“I’m done with the senators sitting around doing nothing while Trump takes your hard-earned money, skims your Social Security, slashes Medicare, and gives tax breaks to billionaires. I’m done.”

Kennedy said he doubts Texas voters will embrace that message.

He described Crockett as “wrong on every single issue” and predicted her Senate bid will fail, adding that she will “be leaving Congress.”

“I don’t want anybody to be in Congress who doesn’t want to be here,” Kennedy said.

“So, if people are unhappy, you know, don’t let the door hit them in the butt on the way out.”

Crockett’s supporters, including national Democrats, have labeled her a rising star due to her large social media following and high-profile clashes with Republicans.

She joins Democrat state Rep. James Talarico in the primary.

Meanwhile, former Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX) dropped out just hours before Crockett’s announcement.

Kennedy reiterated his confidence that Texas will keep the seat in Republican hands.

“The people of Texas will never embrace her message,” he said.

“I don’t know why she’s doing this, but you know, hey, you have the right in America to do dumb things if you want to.”
