Singapore President Warns ‘Next Pandemic’ Looming After Meeting with Bill Gates

Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has issued a warning that a global pandemic will soon strike humanity.

Interestingly, Shanmugaratnam issued the warning shortly after meeting with Microsoft co-founder and “vaccine” advocate Bill Gates last week.

As Slay News previously reported, Gates has been visiting Singapore to meet with the nation’s leadership.

The trip included meetings with Singapore leaders and various speaking engagements.

On May 5, the billionaire announced at the Philanthropy Asia Summit (PAS) 2025 that the Gates Foundation will open an office in Singapore.

The organization’s establishment of presence in Singapore was supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

On the same day, Gates also met with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, as well as Senior Ministers Lee Hsien Loong and Teo Chee Hean.

During the PAS event, Gates and Shanmugaratnam sat down for a panel discussion.

Shortly after, Shanmugaratnam started sounding the alarm about a looming pandemic.

Shanmugaratnam, a World Economic Forum (WEF) member, first issued the warning during a high-level networking dinner hosted by Singapore’s Temasek Foundation on May 6, the day after he met with Gates.

He claimed that scientists believe that the “next pandemic” is a foregone conclusion

The Singaporean leader then asserted that the next major pandemic is a matter of “when,” and not “if.”

He continued by claiming that the next pandemic could happen either next year or in ten years’ time.

According to the summit’s website, “the 2025 Summit theme, ‘Priming Asia for Good,’” was planned to discuss “solutions, innovations, and actions in Asia to address global challenges across the interconnected areas of climate, education, and health.”

The World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, was among the guests who spoke at PAS 2025.

Shanmugaratnam claimed at the dinner that the world stands on the brink of forgetting the lessons learned during the Covid outbreak of 2019.

He warns that complacency, wishful thinking, and insularity are the greatest challenges.

In remarks cited by The Straits Times (ST), he added that the globalists must deal with those challenges creatively to “avoid further polarization.”

“We have to do so through arrangements that appeal to nations’ sense of self-preservation, and which recognize the practical reality that we can prevent and prepare for the next pandemic only through a major step-up in internationally coordinated investments and actions,” he continued.

The same ST article reported that he also said:

“The world has to first reclaim lost ground and rebuild local healthcare systems, as the Covid-19 pandemic had set them back by more than just the first few years of that event.

“It has to continue to invest at much higher levels in the global health ecosystem, especially in pandemic prevention and preparedness, as well as strengthen international and regional cooperation.”

Shanmugaratnam’s predictions of a future pandemic came the day after a May 5 announcement that the Bill Gates Foundation is setting up an office in Singapore.

The move has the official backing of Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB).
