Starbucks customers across the country are paying tribute to Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last week, by ordering his favorite drink.
Before he died, Kirk said his favorite Starbucks order was a Mint Majesty tea with two packets of honey.
Kirk had previously revealed his go-to order in an interview, saying:
“It is literally just Mint Majesty tea with two honeys, and I drink like nine of them a day, otherwise I would lose my voice.”

Now, supporters are not only ordering the same beverage but also asking baristas to put “Charlie Kirk” on their cups in his memory.
Controversy Over Names on Cups
One viral video sparked backlash after a Starbucks employee appeared to refuse to write “Charlie Kirk” on a customer’s cup.
The leftist employee claimed that the printers were blocked from printing “Charlie Kirk,” and she wasn’t allowed to write the name “Because it’s political.”

On Tuesday, Starbucks responded by clarifying that there are no restrictions on customers using Kirk’s name.
“There are no restrictions on customers using Charlie Kirk’s name on their order, and we are following up with our team,” the company wrote on its official news blog.
In a follow-up statement, Starbucks reiterated that it intends to respect customers’ naming choices:
“Most customers use their own name.
“And when a customer wants to use a different name — including the name Charlie Kirk — when ordering their drink in our café, we aim to respect their preference.”
The company acknowledged that earlier guidance discouraged “political slogans” on cups but said it is now clarifying that names, including Kirk’s, should be permitted.
Cup Marked “Loser”
Another controversy emerged after an X user shared photos of a Starbucks cup with Kirk’s signature order, a “Mint Majesty 2 Honey.”
However, the customer received their order marked with the word “loser :)” in black marker.
“No customer should ever be mocked or insulted because of what they order or what they believe,” the user wrote.
“This is blatant bias, unprofessional, and unacceptable.”

When their cup came back, it was marked with the word “loser :)” across it.

Starbucks denied that the insult came from its staff, claiming an internal investigation showed the writing had been added after the drink left the counter.
“The markers we use to write on cups are accessible to anyone,” Starbucks said.
“And therefore, notes can be easily added to a cup by others after the drink has been handed off by our baristas.”
The company added:
“In millions of interactions every day, our dedicated baristas get it right.
“But in any instance where there may be a misunderstanding or where we don’t meet the mark, we’ll work to learn what happened and address any issues quickly.”
A Simple Tribute with Lasting Meaning
For many conservatives and supporters of Turning Point USA, ordering Kirk’s favorite tea has become a small but meaningful way to honor his life and legacy.
