Stephen King Smears ICE Agents as Nazis: ‘The American Gestapo’

Liberal author Stephen King has sparked outrage after comparing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to Nazi secret police.

In a post on social media, King smeared ICE as the “American Gestapo.”

Writing on the leftist social media platform Blusky, King said:

“ICE looking more and more like the American Gestpo [sic].”

The bestselling horror novelist not only drew a controversial parallel but also misspelled “Gestapo.”

King’s comment came in response to the Trump administration ramping up immigration enforcement across major U.S. cities.

The efforts that have led to a sharp increase in violent confrontations with criminal illegal aliens.

According to new data from the Department of Homeland Security, assaults on ICE agents have skyrocketed by 500% in recent months.

The attacks against immigration officials come as agents conduct operations to apprehend individuals in the country illegally.

Most of those targetted are criminals, many accused of rape, murder, human trafficking, and other violent offenses.

In a statement to Breitbart News, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said:

“ICE law enforcement is now facing a 500% increase in assaults while carrying out enforcement operations.”

She pointed to a recent case in Bloomington, Minnesota.

In Bloomington, Roberto Carlos Munoz, an illegal alien and convicted child sex offender, dragged an ICE officer 50 yards with his vehicle in an attempt to evade arrest.

King’s post has drawn fierce backlash from critics who argue he is demonizing federal law enforcement agents who are risking their lives to uphold the law and protect public safety.

Progressive activists have increasingly taken aim at ICE, accusing the agency of “terrorizing” communities.

Meanwhile, supporters argue ICE plays a critical role in removing violent criminals and repeat immigration violators from American neighborhoods.

King also made headlines this week for a separate political statement, calling for more women to lead nuclear-armed nations.

“Women talk to each other,” he said.

“Women can be reasonable.

“Enough with the macho men and swinging dicks.”

Critics blasted the comment as sexist and unserious.

Defenders, however, said King was simply advocating for more diplomacy on the global stage.

Despite being best known for writing fiction, King continues to inject himself into real-world politics, often from the far Left.

He often draws sharp criticism for what many see as inflammatory and ill-informed remarks about serious national security issues.
