Steve Bannon: Trump Will Be Re-Elected President in 2028

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon declared that President Donald Trump will be re-elected for a third presidential term in 2028.

Bannon defiantly argues that the American people, not the establishment, will ultimately decide the future of the nation.

During an interview with The Economist editor-in-chief Zanny Minton Beddoes, Bannon dismissed claims that Trump is constitutionally barred from running again.

Bannon insists that the movement that brought Trump back to power isn’t stopping anytime soon.

“He’s going to get a third term,” Bannon said.

“So ‘Trump 28,’ Trump is going to be president of ’28 and people just ought to get accommodated with that.”

Beddoes, visibly surprised, asked how that could be possible under the 22nd Amendment.

The 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms.

Bannon didn’t back down, however.

He argues that there are ways around the amendment.

Bannon said the details of the plan would come “when appropriate.”

Meanwhile, he notes that Trump’s resilience and the political upheavals of recent years are proof of a higher calling at work.

“Trump is a vehicle,” Bannon said.

“I know this will drive you guys crazy, but he’s a vehicle of divine providence.

“He’s an instrument. He’s very imperfect.

“He’s not churchy, not particularly religious, but he’s an instrument of divine will.

“And you can tell this of how he’s pulled this off.

“We need him for at least one more term, right?

“And he’ll get that in ’28,” Bannon asserted.

Beddoes, a British reporter, pushed back.

She argued that allowing Trump to serve again would violate the Constitution.

But Bannon fired back, asking whether it would really be unconstitutional if the American people themselves demanded it.

“If the American people, with the mechanisms we have put Trump back in office, are the American people tearing up the Constitution?” Bannon asked.

“Would that be tearing up?

“Would the American people be going against the spirit of the Constitution, ma’am?”

Beddoes replied, “I think yes, actually, because I think what you will end up with is a populist justification for a quasi-dictatorship.”

Bannon countered by reminding her that Trump’s leadership style has always been grounded in negotiation and accountability, not dictatorship.

“First off, the only way President Trump wins in 2028 and continues to stay in office is by the will of the American people, ok?” Bannon said.

“And the will of the American people is what the Constitution embodies.

“And so I think we’re going to be in good hands there. We need to finish what we started.”

Trump has previously joked about serving a third term to taunt Democrats and the media.

However, Bannon’s tone suggests a more serious movement may be forming around the idea.

As Bannon put it, “Trump 2028” might sound like a rallying cry now, but it could soon become a political reality.
