Teenage Boy Dies after Doctors Botch Transgender Surgery

A teenage boy has died after doctors prescribed him transgender drugs before botching his sex-change surgery.

The death of the โ€œhealthyโ€ 18-year-old was highlighted in a recent report on a Dutch study into transgender treatments.

A medical article documents the tragic death of one of the participants in the linchpin Dutch study.

The teen boy who died was part of a child sex change experiment on which the study was based.

An investigation into the death determined that puberty suppression was to blame for the young personโ€™s death.

As part of the experiment, the biological male teen had been placed on puberty-blocking drugs by doctors from an early age in 2016.

When he turned 18, the trans-identified male underwent irreversible sex-change surgery.

However, because the teen had been taking powerful puberty blockers from a young age, there wasnโ€™t enough penile tissue for surgeons to use to create a โ€œneo-vagina.โ€

Therefore, a more risky procedure using a section of the patientโ€™s bowel was necessary, which resulted in fatal necrotizing fasciitis, according to the Post Millennial.

The manuscript begins by saying that the โ€œabsence of a functional vagina has a negative effect on the (sexual) quality of life of (transgender) womenโ€ and explains that multiple surgical procedures have been described for vaginal โ€œreconstructionโ€ in these patients.

The patient is described as being a โ€œhealthyโ€ 18-year-old for whom standard vaginoplasty surgery was โ€œnot feasibleโ€ due to having undeveloped genitals as a result of early puberty suppression.

โ€œTransgender women with early-onset gender dysphoria, treated with puberty suppressing hormones, report fewer behavioral and emotional problems and an improvement of general functioning,โ€ readers are assured at this point.

Major complications began within 24 hours of the botched surgery.

Necrotizing fasciitis was confirmed in the days that followed.

Despite large doses of intravenous antibiotics and โ€œrepeated surgical debridement,โ€ the previously healthy patient went into multiple organ failure and died.

Despite the harrowing account of a young personโ€™s needless death, the researchers insist that โ€œvaginal reconstructionโ€ has a โ€œpositive influenceโ€ on the quality of life of โ€œnon-transgender and transgender women,โ€

However, they continue by cautioning that โ€œphysicians and patients need to be aware of serious complications that may arise.โ€

The investigation into the young personโ€™s death revealed that the deadly strain of E-Coli most likely came from the patientโ€™s own intestines, not from the hospital setting.

The discovery means that the more risky vaginoplasty surgery almost certainly caused the fatality.

Dr. Michael Biggs, a sociologist who played a key role in exposing the scandal that unfolded at the soon-to-be-closed Tavistock gender clinic in London, spoke of this tragic case in a recent interview on the Wider Lens podcast.

Biggs noted that while early puberty suppression for boys who experience childhood-onset gender dysphoria has the advantage of creating a more feminine appearance in adulthood, the major disadvantage is the penis remains that of a small boy, making vaginoplasty much riskier.

โ€œInstead of using the penile tissue, they will have to use some of your colon,โ€ explained Biggs.

โ€œNow of course, that means opening up your intestines, and thatโ€™s obviously much much much riskier because then you have a different site and of course, intestines are also messy.โ€

Biggs went on to say that the Dutch team refuses to acknowledge that the young personโ€™s death was not due to a random hospital infection but rather was an indirect consequence of puberty suppression.

Jazz Jennings, star of the reality TV show โ€œI Am Jazz,โ€ faced a similar issue when it came time for genital surgery.

Jennings was an extremely gender-nonconforming child who would almost certainly have grown up to be a gay man.

Instead, he was โ€œtransitionedโ€ at a very young age.

Jenningsโ€™s puberty was also blocked very early, meaning standard vaginoplasty was not possible.

Jennings required three corrective surgeries and still struggles in the dating world.

He will never live a normal life due to his treatments being irreversible.
