Texas Democrat Threatens to ‘Wipe Out’ Republicans by Slashing Their Throats: ‘I’m from the Hood, Okay?!’

Democrat Texas state Rep. Jolanda Jones has sparked outrage after threatening that Democrats will “wipe out” every Republican and, in a graphic metaphor, “slash” their political opponents’ throats.

Jones framed the violent rhetoric as part of a call for Democrats to fight harder for voters they are losing.

She made the remarks on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront,” arguing Democrats must change tactics to regain support among black and low-income voters.

Jones said the party needs to “fight” in ways she characterized as tougher and less restrained.

“I’m from the hood, okay?!” she raged on CNN.

“So when a bully comes, like, if there are no rules, you literally have to figure it out.

“So, Donald Trump has changed things, and people trying to do what’s always been done is not going to work.”

Jones went on to explain her blunt approach, saying she would not retaliate by “punching” an opponent in the face.

Instead, Jones warned that she would “go across your neck” so the opponent “won’t come back.”

She said similar language was used in a conversation with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, urging Democrats to “wipe out every Republican in New York, in California, in Illinois.”

Speaking with Axios, Jones expanded on the point, saying Democrats must be willing to “fight ugly.”

She described growing up amid violence, referencing the murders of family members and her father’s suicide.

Jones framed her violent rhetoric as rooted in those life experiences.

“If you grew up in the hood like me, that’s the fastest way, literally, to be killed,” Jones told Axios.

“My brother was murdered, my aunt was murdered, my cousin was murdered.

“My dad blew his brains out.

“So, I come from a different world where everything isn’t so pretty like the Democrats want.

“Sometimes sh*t is ugly,” she said.

“And you’ve got to be able to fight ugly.”

Her comments came amid heightened political tensions that included, according to the reporting provided, two assassination attempts against President Donald Trump and the murder of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

The remarks drew fresh scrutiny because they echo violent language.

Her comments also follow reports of threats and violent rhetoric at recent leftist riots across the country.

The original account notes that some protesters at nationwide “No Kings” rallies called for violence against members of the Trump administration and ICE.

Individual “protesters” in Seattle, Chicago, and Portland were reportedly issuing specific threats.

Jones’s choice of words is likely to deepen partisan divisions and spur calls for condemnation from across the political spectrum.

The graphic nature of her language, combined with the national backdrop of threats and violence, raises questions about rhetoric, responsibility, and political accountability at a time when public safety remains a foremost concern.
