An explosive development has just rocked Washington, D.C., as President Donald Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan confirmed that federal authorities have now launched an investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over long-standing allegations that she committed immigration fraud by marrying her own brother.
Homan revealed during a Newsmax interview that he personally requested Omar’s immigration file be pulled for review after new whistleblower testimony first reported by Slay News.
Omar’s close friend and former associate confirmed that the Somalia-born Democrat congresswoman did marry her brother to “get him papers.”
The confirmation marks the first time a senior federal official has publicly acknowledged that Omar is under formal investigation.
During the Newsmax interview with Rob Schmitt, Homan revealed:
“We’re pulling the files… we’re looking at it.”
Pressed by host Rob Schmitt on whether an investigation is underway, Homan said the issue has been repeatedly raised within the Department of Homeland Security and that a top DHS Investigations fraud expert has already reviewed the file.
“(President Trump) calls that a fraud,” Schmitt asked Homan.
“It’s a story that has never been successfully refuted…
“That’s clearly a deportable offense.
“Is there an investigation into that?”
Homan responded:
“You know, I just got advised by a fraud investigator the other day on that.
“I asked the question, who reviewed the file and says, you know, there was immigration fraud involved… pulling the records, now pulling the files and we’re looking at it.”
“This fraud investigator… said there’s no doubt he reviewed the file,” Homan added.
“So I’m running that down this week, as a matter of fact. And we’ll see.”

This is a stark reversal from Homan’s answer last year, when he told journalist Laura Loomer he could not comment.
Whistleblower Confirms Omar Married Her Brother to Secure U.S. Residency
Last week, Slay News reported allegations from Abdihakim Osman, a longtime insider within Minneapolis’ Somali community and a friend of Omar.
Osman confirmed that Omar told him she married her brother, Ahmed Elmi, to help him stay in the United States.
It was apparently common knowledge among the Somali community that Omar and Elmi were brother and sister, but their marriage was kept secret.
“No one knew there had been a wedding until the media turned up the marriage certificate years later,” Osman stated.
He also said Omar repeatedly identified Elmi as her brother at the time, before quietly marrying him while already married religiously to Ahmed Hirsi.
The Daily Mail later verified Osman’s account and reported:
“‘Squad’ congresswoman Ilhan Omar told friends years ago that the man who went on to become her second husband was in fact her brother.”
Corporate Media Refuses to Ask Omar About Fraud Allegations
Despite the mounting evidence and a whistleblower on record, Omar has avoided all questions from the legacy press.
Omar appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday.
Yet, liberal host Margaret Brennan failed to ask a single question about the immigration-fraud allegations or the growing federal probe.
President Donald Trump, however, did not hold back last week, bringing up the allegation while speaking with reporters in the Oval Office.
Trump Crowd Chants “Send Her Back!”
During a rally Tuesday night in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, Trump directly addressed the scandal.
The president called for Omar to face consequences over the alleged marriage fraud.
The crowd erupted into chants of:
“Send her back!”
A Growing Crisis for Democrats
The federal investigation into Omar touches off a political and legal firestorm:
• If the allegations prove accurate, Omar could face deportation proceedings, as Schmitt noted.
• The scandal directly contradicts Omar’s public denials and accusations of “Islamophobia” whenever the allegations surfaced.
