A senior U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) official has admitted that she refused the Covid mRNA “vaccines” during the height of the pandemic while pushing the “safe and effective” narrative onto the American people.
Dr. Sara Brenner, one of the most powerful figures in the FDA, revealed that she rejected the injections because “there were many things that were not right.”
Brenner said she was pregnant at the time and had concerns about the safety of the “vaccines.”
She made the explosive revelation at the MAHA Institute Round Table in Washington, D.C., on May 15.
Brenner, a preventive medicine physician, has worked as a senior official at the FDA since 2019.
After briefly its acting commissioner, Brenner is currently the FDA’s principal deputy commissioner.
Before that, she was the chief medical officer for diagnostics.
Brenner was detailed to former President Joe Biden’s White House to support the administration’s COVID-19 response.
She didn’t just participate in the pandemic response, she helped shape it from within.
“Knowing what I knew — not only about nanotechnology, about medicine, about the medical countermeasures — but also having a very strong and firm grounding in bioethics … there were many things that were not right,” she told the MAHA Institute audience.
The fact that someone with her seniority and access to internal data privately rejected the vaccine presents a profound ethical dilemma.
Brenner also rejected the injections while her agency promoted the mRNA “vaccines” to millions of pregnant women.
She explained that her decision was driven by a lack of safety data, particularly around the biodistribution of the vaccine’s lipid nanoparticles (LNPs).
LNPs are the tiny fat particles used to deliver the mRNA into cells and have been linked to cancers among the “vaccinated.”
“It was unknown at the time what the biodistribution patterns of those products were,” said Brenner.
“That was my primary concern, and that exposure I was very concerned about.”
When asked whether she believed she had made the right decision in refusing the Covid “vaccine,” Brenner replied simply, “I believe so.”

She had reason to be cautious.
As a nanomedicine expert who built an M.D./Ph.D. program in the field, Brenner had spent years researching the “biodistribution, excretion, metabolism, and toxicities associated with engineered nanoparticles.”
“Materials that don’t exist in nature — there’s a lot of unknowns,” said Brenner.
She warned that unintended toxic effects — especially in vulnerable populations like pregnant women — could not be ignored.
“Regardless of the medical product or the intervention, there’s always going to be the need to evaluate both the intended outcomes … and the unintended consequences,” she cautioned.
It comes amid growing calls to ban mRNA “vaccines” over the surging deaths and injuries linked to the injections.
As Slay News reported, the Independent Medical Alliance (IMA) has been calling for a ban on the use of Covid mRNA “vaccines” for children and pregnant women.
The physician-led nonprofit focused on medical freedom and transparency has launched a national petition campaign titled Smart Moms Ask.
The campaign seeks to pressure U.S. health agencies to remove mRNA “vaccines” from the childhood immunization schedule and prohibit their use in infants, children, and pregnant women.
On Tuesday, the federal government finally responded.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has finally updated its guidance to remove Covid “vaccines” from its list of recommended immunizations for healthy children and pregnant women.
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made the announcement Tuesday in a video shared on X.
In the video, Kennedy appears alongside FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary and NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya.
“Last year, the Biden administration urged healthy children to get yet another COVID shot, despite the lack of any clinical data to support the repeat booster strategy in children,” Kennedy said.
That ends today — it’s common sense and it’s good science,” Bhattacharya added.
Makary also chimed in, noting that there’s no evidence healthy kids need a Covid “vaccine.”
Most countries have stopped recommending the mRNA injections for children.
“We’re now one step closer to realizing President Trump’s promise to make America healthy again,” Kennedy concluded.
