President Donald Trump’s administration has tracked down roughly 25,000 migrant children who were trafficked across the Southern Border before being abandoned by the illegal aliens they were traveling with.
After being found alone, those children were later “lost” under President Joe Biden, Border Czar Tom Homan revealed Thursday.
Speaking on Fox News, Homan said that while some of the children were ultimately safe with their parents, many were found in horrific circumstances.
“Some were fine, hiding with their parents because they didn’t want to be deported,” Homan explained.
“But many others were in sex trafficking, and others were found in forced labor — working ungodly hours, not going to school, not being paid, being abused.”
Homan confirmed that 27 children had already died.
“We’ve rescued thousands of children, and President Trump is committed, I’m committed, that we’re not gonna stop looking for these children ’til we find every single one of them or run down the leads on them,” he said.
“So we’re not giving up.
“This is a major priority for the Trump administration.”

Biden’s Broken Vetting System
An inspector general’s report released last year revealed that during Biden’s tenure, more than 320,000 migrant children went unaccounted for after being released into the U.S. to poorly vetted “sponsors.”
During the previous administration, cartel members, smugglers, and other illegal alien adults often travelled with unrelated children to falsely claim they were traveling as a family, making entry into the United States smoother under Biden’s open border policies.
However, once the illegal crossers were clear of border enforcement, the children were simply abandoned.
The report found that as of May 2024, more than 291,000 unaccompanied minors were never assigned court dates, leaving immigration authorities with no way of knowing their whereabouts.
Another 32,000 who were given hearing dates simply failed to appear.
Whistleblowers have long warned that Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) deliberately ignored red flags in the vetting process.
One whistleblower testified before a Senate panel in July 2024 that she was retaliated against and removed from her role after raising alarms that migrant children were being placed with people who were clearly not their relatives.
She described evidence of abuse and trafficking that was ignored by her supervisors.
Deborah White, another HHS whistleblower, said taxpayer dollars were being funneled through contractors complicit in trafficking, while officials turned a blind eye.
“Children were not going to their parents,” White said.
“Children were being trafficked with billions of taxpayer dollars by a contractor failing to vet sponsors and process children safely, with government officials complicit in it.”
White added that the experience “will haunt me for the rest of my life.”
ORR staff received “no training” to identify trafficking or fraud, White revealed.
When she attempted to intervene, she was blocked.
“Once these children leave here … they’re gone and they are no longer your responsibility,” she was told.
Trump’s Course Correction
Now, under President Trump, the administration is working aggressively to reverse the damage and locate the missing children.
Homan emphasized that recovering the lost minors is “a major priority” and vowed the administration would not stop until every lead was pursued.
The revelation underscores the staggering scope of Biden’s border crisis and the sharp contrast between the former president’s permissive policies and Trump’s efforts to restore order and accountability.
