Trump Blasts ‘Creeps at Failing New York Times’ Over Latest ‘Hit Piece’ Claiming Age-Related Decline

President Donald Trump has unloaded on The New York Times after the “failing” newspaper published a story claiming he has begun showing “signs of fatigue” as he leads the country through his second term.

The Times piece, co-authored by White House correspondent Katie Rogers, carried the headline “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Faces Realities of Aging in Office.”

The article suggests that the 79-year-old president is slowing down.

It claims reporters had analyzed Trump’s schedule, noting “fewer public events” than during his first term, and asserts that the president typically appears between noon and 5 p.m.

It also alleged that Trump appeared to doze off during a recent Oval Office event.

The framing struck many observers as ironic, given Trump’s years of blasting Joe Biden’s low stamina and highly visible mental and physical decline.

Biden’s decline so severe that Democrats forced him out of the 2024 race entirely.

However, the corporate media, including the NY Times, gave Biden a free pass and gaslit the American people on the issue.

Trump ultimately broke Biden’s record as the oldest president elected, defeating him at age 78.

Trump responded with force, calling the story another effort by the paper to undermine a president the Left cannot accept as legitimate.

Touting his 2024 landslide victory and pointing to his foreign-policy and economic record, Trump wrote on Truth Social:

“The Creeps at the Failing New York Times are at it again.

“I won the 2024 Presidential Election in a Landslide, winning all Seven Swing States, the Popular Vote, and the Electoral College by a lot.

“I one [sic] our Nation’s Districts by 2750 to 550, a complete wipeout.

“I settled 8 Wars, have 48 New Stock Market Highs, our Economy is Great, and our Country is RESPECTED AGAIN all over the World, respected like never before…

“To do this requires a lot of Work and Energy, and I have never worked so hard in my life.

“Yet despite all of this the Radical Left Lunatics in the soon-to-fold New York Times did a hit piece on me that I am perhaps losing my Energy, despite facts that show the exact opposite.”

Trump also criticized Rogers personally, calling her “ugly, both inside and out.”

He noted he has recently undergone a “PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (‘That was aced’)” and said that while “there will be a day when I run low on Energy,” that day “certainly is not now!”

NYT Defends Its Reporting

In response, a Times spokesperson defended the article and claimed Trump’s criticism would not deter their coverage.

“The Times’ reporting is accurate and built on first-hand reporting of the facts,” the statement said.

“Name-calling and personal insults don’t change that, nor will our journalists hesitate to cover this administration in the face of intimidation tactics like this.

“Expert and thorough reporters like Katie Rogers exemplify how an independent and free press helps the American people better understand their government and its leaders.”

The clash comes as the Times is already facing backlash from Vice President JD Vance and other conservatives over a separate, widely criticized piece titled “Two Men. One Identity. They Both Paid the Price.”

That story portrayed the plight of a Minnesota man whose identity was stolen by an illegal alien, a framing Vance and others said bent over backward to generate sympathy for the criminal rather than the victim.

The Times defended that article too, claiming it helped “readers better understand the complexities of immigration in America today and the government’s difficulty in dealing with the increasingly common problem of identity theft.”
