President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Democrats on Thursday, blaming radical left rhetoric for fueling political violence in the wake of a deadly attack on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas.
“Radical Left rhetoric, the radical Left is causing the problem,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
The president specifically called out Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), adding:
“I mean, I look at Crockett, I look at some of these people, they’re very low IQ people, actually.”

The attack comes just weeks after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk during a campus speaking event in Utah, a killing that has rocked conservatives nationwide.
Trump and Crockett have a history of trading barbs.
In July 2025, Crockett referred to the president as a “wannabe Hitler,” later defending the remark during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” while accusing Trump of fostering a “culture of political violence.”
On Thursday, Trump fired back.
“Bad things happen when they play these games,” he warned of Crockett’s divisive rhetoric.
The president stressed that while “the right is a lot tougher than the Left,” he does not want either side to be “energized” by violence.
The Dallas attack unfolded Wednesday morning, when authorities say 29-year-old Joshua Jahn opened fire from a rooftop onto an ICE transport van.
One detainee was killed, and two others were injured before Jahn turned the gun on himself.
FBI Director Kash Patel said the gunman sought “real terror” against ICE, had searched for videos of Kirk’s assassination, and used apps to track ICE agents.
Patel also released a photo of shell casings allegedly recovered near the shooter, one of which had “ANTI-ICE” scrawled on it.
Authorities noted disturbing parallels between Jahn’s actions and the assassination of Kirk.
Prosecutors revealed that ammunition used by Tyler Robinson, Kirk’s alleged killer, was also inscribed with anti-fascist messaging.
In Kirk’s case, investigators said the rifle contained three unspent rounds and one spent round, each engraved with political slogans.
The ICE shooting and Kirk’s assassination have raised growing concerns about escalating left-wing violence targeting conservatives and law enforcement.
Trump’s message Thursday was clear: Democrats’ rhetoric has consequences, and America can’t afford to ignore them.
Crockett, one of the most vocal progressive Democrats in Congress, has repeatedly come under fire for her rhetoric toward immigration enforcement.
Earlier this month, she compared ICE officers to “slave patrols” and openly backed efforts to defund the agency.
The comments drew sharp condemnation from Republicans and law enforcement groups.
She has also defended calls to slash police budgets, arguing that law enforcement should have its responsibilities shifted to social service agencies.
Conservatives argue such rhetoric has fueled hostility toward ICE agents and emboldened violent extremists.
Crockett’s recent remarks in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination further inflamed tensions.
She has been doubling down on her attacks on Trump and his supporters at a moment when conservatives were mourning Kirk’s death.
Speaking at a recent rally, Crockett declared that “the most unpatriotic people that we have in this country are MAGA and this president.”
