President Donald Trump blasted Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, suggesting the 22-year-old left-wing protester should “see a doctor” after her latest run-in with Israeli authorities.
Speaking from the Oval Office on Monday, Trump was asked about Thunberg’s detention and deportation from Israel after she joined a Gaza-bound flotilla intercepted by the Israeli navy.
“She is just a troublemaker,” Trump said.
“She has an anger management problem.
“I think she should see a doctor.
“If you ever watch her — for a young person, she’s so angry.
“She’s so crazy. You can have her.”

Thunberg was deported along with 170 other activists who had attempted to breach Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza.
The group, composed of citizens from more than a dozen European countries and the United States, was transferred to Greece and Slovakia after being held briefly in Israel.
Trump vs. Thunberg
This isn’t the first time Trump has clashed with the Swedish activist.
In June, the president mocked her as a “strange” and “angry person” who should take an “anger management class” after she claimed she had been “kidnapped” by Israeli forces when her boat was stopped in international waters.
Thunberg and her fellow activists described their detention as an “abduction,” while Israel maintained they were lawfully taken into custody for attempting to run the blockade.
Both Israel and Egypt have enforced restrictions on Gaza for years to prevent Hamas from smuggling weapons into the enclave.
After her release this week, Thunberg flew into Greece, where she was met by cheering pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
Pattern of Controversy
Thunberg’s flotilla stunt adds to a growing list of controversies surrounding the activist.
After her latest stunt, she alleged she had been subjected to “harsh” conditions while detained in an Israeli prison.
Thunberg claimed she was left to sit for hours on hard surfaces in bedbug-infested cells without proper food or water.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry forcefully rejected her claims as “brazen lies,” insisting that detainees had access to food, water, legal counsel, and medical care.
Court documents reviewed by local media also showed she made no formal complaint of mistreatment during her hearings.
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir dismissed the flotilla as a “terror-supporting” operation and said he was “proud” its participants experienced “the same conditions as terrorist detainees.”
A Familiar Script
Thunberg, who rose to international fame as a teenage climate activist, has increasingly attached herself to far-left political causes, particularly those targeting Israel.
Her repeated arrests and headline-grabbing statements have become a staple of her brand, even as critics argue she exploits global crises to maintain relevance.
President Trump’s blunt remarks underscore the growing frustration among Western leaders over Thunberg’s tactics, which frequently blur the line between legitimate protest and open hostility to democratic governments.
