Trump Hits New York Times with $15 Billion Lawsuit for Pushing False Epstein Smears

President Donald Trump is suing The New York Times for a whopping $15 billion, accusing the liberal newspaper of decades of defamation and libel targeting him, his family, and the America First movement.

In a late-night post on Monday, Trump described the lawsuit as a “great honor.”

He blasted the once-prestigious outlet as “one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the history of our country.”

“The Times has engaged in a decades-long method of lying about your Favorite President (ME!), my family, business, the America First Movement, MAGA, and our Nation as a whole,” Trump wrote.

“I am PROUD to hold this once respected ‘rag’ responsible.”

The lawsuit, to be filed in Florida, comes just days after The New York Times published articles attempting to connect Trump to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, with a note and drawing the president flatly denies authoring.

Trump had publicly threatened legal action last week.

Targeting The Times’ Endorsement Of Harris

Trump specifically cited the paper’s September 30 endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, which it ran on its front page.

The president notes that the endorsement is proof of political bias.

Trump called it “the single largest illegal campaign contribution, EVER.”

In that editorial, the Times declared Harris “the only patriotic choice” for president.

It went on to describe Trump as “morally unfit” and “temperamentally unfit” for office.

Trump responded:

“Their Endorsement of Kamala Harris was actually put dead center on the front page of The New York Times, something heretofore UNHEARD OF!

“It has become a virtual mouthpiece for the Radical Left Democrat Party.”

Pattern Of Media Abuse

The lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal battles Trump has launched against major media outlets.

In July, he filed a $10 billion lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal and media mogul Rupert Murdoch over similar false claims related to Epstein.

That case was also filed in Florida.

Trump has already notched victories in related cases.

Paramount recently settled with him for $16 million after the network deceptively edited an interview with Kamala Harris to present her in a more favorable light during the 2024 campaign.

“They practiced this long-term INTENT and pattern of abuse, which is both unacceptable and illegal,” Trump said of the media.

“The New York Times has been allowed to freely lie, smear, and defame me for far too long, and that stops, NOW!”
