President Donald Trump signed three landmark bills on Thursday to obliterate the Democrats’ green agenda policies that mandated electric vehicle (EV) sales.
The Biden-era rules gave California the power to dictate what kind of vehicles Americans are allowed to drive.
“These three pieces of legislation… will kill the California mandates forever,” President Trump declared from the White House.
“They’re never coming back.”

The move officially terminates the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) green light issued under Joe Biden.
The EPA had allowed California to enforce its so-called “Advanced Clean Cars II” plan.
That plan aimed to ban the sale of new gas-powered cars in California (and any other state that copied its rules) by 2035.
Let that sink in: California—a single, far-left state—was poised to effectively outlaw gas-powered vehicles nationwide.
This move was made possible thanks to a regulatory loophole and Biden’s rubber stamp.
Now, thanks to Republican leadership in Congress and President Trump’s signature, that radical agenda is dead in its tracks.
But the president didn’t stop there.
Trump also crushed regulations that would have banned diesel trucks, further exposing the Biden administration’s war on reliable American transportation and energy.
“It’s a major win for affordable energy, common sense, and constitutional governance,” said Jason Isaac, CEO of the American Energy Institute.
Under Biden, the EPA had taken unprecedented steps to let California impose its climate extremism on the rest of the nation via Section 177 of the Clean Air Act.
The provision effectively let other Democrat-led states piggyback on California’s bans.
But Trump, staying true to his America First agenda, has put a hard stop to the plans.
“Congress’s repeal of California’s Clean Air Act waiver is a long-overdue correction that restores federal authority and consumer freedom,” Isaac added.
“This law ensures that no single state can dictate what Americans drive.”
Let’s be clear: Democrats were more than happy to use unelected bureaucrats and radical environmental policies to eliminate gas-powered vehicles, crush the trucking industry, and force working-class Americans into overpriced, government-subsidized EVs.
And California was their Trojan horse.
By revoking California’s “waiver” to impose its own car rules, President Trump not only restored sanity to national transportation policy but also protected the right of every American to choose what vehicle they drive, without government interference or Green New Deal bullying.
This is about freedom, federalism, and fighting back against climate tyranny.
As President Trump said during the signing, this is the kind of decisive leadership America needs—and the radical climate Left just got handed a devastating blow.
