President Donald Trump has just announced that he has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to launch a full investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s connections to high-profile Democrats.
The DOJ will also investigate Epstein’s ties to major financial institutions.
In a Friday statement, Trump warned that Democrats are weaponizing the “Epstein Hoax” to distract from their political failures.
Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, stating:
“Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures, I will be asking AG Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, JPMorgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him.”
He added, “This is another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats.
“Records show that these men, and many others, spent large portions of their life with Epstein, and on his ‘island.’ Stay tuned!!!”

The move comes as public scrutiny intensifies following the release of tens of thousands of Epstein-related documents.
The latest release of the Epstein files includes emails revealing explosive allegations involving the Clinton orbit.
In one such email from 2016, Epstein appeared to claim that Hillary Clinton had been intimately involved with Vince Foster.
Foster was Bill Clinton’s former White House deputy counsel who allegedly “committed suicide” in mysterious circumstances.
His controversial 1993 death continues to spur questions due to forensic irregularities, investigative failures, and obstructed access to his files inside the Clinton White House.
According to Epstein’s emails, Hillary Clinton was having an affair with Foster shortly before he died.
Those revelations added new fuel to long-standing suspicion surrounding the Clintons’ relationship with Epstein, a man who moved comfortably among Democratic Party elites and global power brokers for decades.
Trump: “Epstein Was a Democrat”
In a separate post on Friday, Trump reminded the public that “Epstein was a Democrat.”
The president asserted that the scandal is “the Democrats’ problem,” not the GOP’s.
He noted that Democrats are “doing everything in their withering power to push the Epstein Hoax again, despite the DOJ releasing 50,000 pages of documents,” accusing them of manufacturing another distraction campaign.
He urged Congress not to “waste” time targeting him and instead to investigate the Democrats named in his announcement.
Banks Push Back as the Dragnet Expands
The president’s directive puts new pressure on major financial institutions, particularly JPMorgan Chase, which has been repeatedly scrutinized for its relationship with Epstein.
In a statement, Trish Wexler, Head of Policy & Advocacy Communications at JPMorgan Chase & Co., said:
“The government had damning information about [Epstein’s] crimes and failed to share it with us and other banks.”
She added, “We regret any association we had with the man, but did not help him commit his heinous acts.
“We ended our relationship with him years before his arrest on sex trafficking charges.”
But critics argue the banks formed part of a protective shield around Epstein that allowed him to operate with impunity, a shield reinforced by his deep personal ties to the Democratic Party and wealthy global figures.
A Pattern of Elites Shielded From Consequences
The latest email dump, including the cryptic claim about Hillary Clinton and Vince Foster, has intensified public suspicion that the Epstein network extended far deeper into elite political circles than previously admitted.
The Foster case itself remains one of Washington’s most disturbing chapters, rife with forensic contradictions, missing evidence, obstructed investigations, and White House interference, including reports that staffers searched Foster’s office while FBI agents were ordered by Bernard Nussbaum not to leave their chairs.
Those documents, now resurfacing alongside thousands of Epstein files, reinforce the possibility of a sprawling web of influence, protection, and secrecy surrounding the Clintons and their associates.
A New Phase in the Epstein Reckoning
By ordering a federal investigation, Trump is signaling that the era of political immunity for those intertwined with Epstein may be nearing an end.
Democrats, meanwhile, are scrambling to regain control of the narrative as new evidence points squarely at their own ranks, not Trump or Republicans, and as previously hidden emails revive long-buried scandals involving the Clinton network.

More revelations are expected as investigators review the newly released 50,000 pages of Epstein documents and as the DOJ begins probing the political and financial ties Trump named directly.
