President Donald Trump has announced that the newly established Board of Peace will provide more than $5 billion to support humanitarian relief and reconstruction efforts in Gaza following the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The Board of Peace is an international body created by Trump in January 2026.
It was formally chartered during a signing ceremony in Davos, Switzerland, on January 22.
The group includes participation from leaders representing roughly 17 countries.
The organization has since expanded to include nearly 20 member nations across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia.
Israel recently joined the group.
The board is designed to coordinate post-conflict stabilization in Gaza.
The efforts include humanitarian aid distribution, reconstruction planning, and security enforcement.
Its framework includes the deployment of an International Stabilization Force alongside locally trained police units.
A central requirement of the initiative is that Hamas commit to full and immediate demilitarization.
Trump detailed the funding commitment in a Truth Social post.
The president stated that member nations have pledged billions in aid and thousands of personnel to support stabilization and security operations.
“On February 19th, 2026, I will again be joined by Board of Peace Members at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., where we will announce that Member States have pledged more than $5 BILLION DOLLARS toward the Gaza Humanitarian and Reconstruction efforts, and have committed thousands of personnel to the International Stabilization Force and Local Police to maintain Security and Peace for Gazans,” Trump wrote.
“Very importantly, Hamas must uphold its commitment to Full and Immediate Demilitarization.
“The Board of Peace will prove to be the most consequential International Body in History, and it is my honor to serve as its Chairman.”
The pledges are expected to be formally unveiled during the board’s first official meeting in Washington, D.C., on February 19.
Invitations have also been extended to additional countries, including Russia, France, and Germany.
However, some nations, such as Poland and Italy, have declined participation.
According to the administration, the funding will be directed toward rebuilding infrastructure, expanding medical and food assistance, and supporting long-term recovery for Gaza residents.
Officials say the initiative pairs reconstruction resources with enforceable security measures intended to create durable regional stability.
The announcement marks one of the most significant international reconstruction efforts launched during Trump’s second term.
The Trump administration continues to pursue a security-first strategy in the Middle East.
