A shocking video has emerged from the three nights of violent mayhem Chicago experienced over the weekend.
The “Teen Takeover” riots overwhelmed downtown Chicago but Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson tried to downplay the violence.
After the video surfaced, however, it will be much harder for the city’s Democrat leadership to gaslight the people of Chicago.

The Chicago Police Department said: โThe Chicago Police Departmentโs top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our residents and visitors, including our cityโs youth.
โThe reckless, disruptive, and violent behavior that was seen downtown this past weekend will not be tolerated.
“We encourage our young people to be safe and responsible as they enjoy their weekends, but anyone engaged in criminal activity will be arrested and held accountable.
โWe actively and continuously review open source social media and additional resources will be available to protect those who are visiting, living or working in the areas of large gatherings.
โResources include an increased police and command staff presence at these gatherings citywide.
“Our Strategic Decision Support Centers (SDSCs) will also be monitoring all activity and police
โAdditional security measures such as bag checks at beach entry points and the curfew for minors at Millennium Park will also be in place.
“CPD is also working closely with youth and outreach workers for when these gatherings occur.
โWe strongly encourage parents to accompany their teens or have them remain under the supervision of a responsible adult.
โWe will continue working alongside our community organizations and leaders to provide safe spaces and alternatives for our youth across the city.โ
As Slay News previously reported, Johnson responded to the violence by urging the public not to “demonize” the rioters.
“In no way do I condone the destructive activity we saw in the Loop and lakefront this weekend,” the mayor-elect said.
“It is unacceptable and has no place in our city.
โHowever, it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities.โ
Failed Mayor Lightfoot also tried to downplay the violence by suggesting that the rioters just wanted to “enjoy the city” during the “great weather.”
โIโm not going to use your language, which I think is wrong, to say it was โmayhem,โ” Lightfoot said.
โThe vast majority of the young people who came downtown came downtown because it was great weather and an opportunity to enjoy the city.
โThatโs absolutely and entirely it.
“There are a few that came with different intentions.
“They have and they will be dealt with.
South Side Alderperson Pat Dowell said: โThe mayhem happening downtown and at the 31st St. Beach is appalling.
โNo other community abdicates parental responsibility for their children.
โNone. Until parents collectively take back control of their homes โ nothing will change.โ
