Hours after the White House issued a warning to ABC’s “The View” over its relentless anti-Trump rants, co-host Joy Behar announced that the pro-Democrat propaganda show would be taking a “hiatus.”
The announcement came after a particularly fiery exchange on the show.
As Slay News reported earlier, Behar launched a bitter tirade against President Donald Trump regarding his call for a criminal investigation into Barack Obama.
Behar’s inflammatory comments came as part of a broader conversation about the Obama administration’s role in creating the now-debunked narrative of Russian collusion with Trump’s 2016 campaign.
Behar took the opportunity to criticize Trump for his alleged “jealousy” of Obama, even making disparaging remarks about Trump’s appearance, marriage, and personality.
Her rant included the assertion that Obama was “trim, smart, handsome, happily married,” and could sing better than Al Green.

White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers didn’t hold back in her response.
Rogers warned that “The View” could be next on the chopping block after Behar’s latest remarks.
“Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Rogers said.
“It’s no surprise that ‘The View’s ratings hit an all-time low last year.
“She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off-air.”
Behar confirmed the show’s hiatus on Thursday, saying:
“We only have one more show after this.”

The announcement came just one day after CBS pulled the plug on anti-Trump Stephen Colbert’s “The Late Show.”
The network claimed it was due to its ongoing financial losses.
The “haitus” for “The View” marks the second major blow to leftist programming in a short span.
Despite the show’s claims that it was “up in total viewers” compared to last season, the show’s incessant attacks on Trump have raised concerns.
Media Research Center’s Newsbusters published a detailed report on the “incendiary and heinous accusations” made by the show.
The remarks include everything from calling Trump’s actions “crimes against humanity” to accusing him of “treason.”
The Trump administration has had enough, with an official statement issued by the White House calling for the show to adjust its tone.
“Straighten up before you get pulled off-air,” the statement read.
Further criticism came from FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, who hinted that the show could be under scrutiny for its recent behavior.
He pointed to an episode where “The View” had to pause four times during the broadcast to read legal notices in an attempt to avoid liability.
“Once President Trump has exposed these media gatekeepers and smashed this facade, there are a lot of consequences, and I think those consequences are far from finished,” Carr said.

As ratings for “The View” continue to suffer, it remains unclear whether the show will be able to recover or if its increasingly partisan and often incendiary rhetoric will be its undoing.
The hiatus and mounting scrutiny signal a shift in the media landscape, as left-wing programming faces more accountability for its overt political bias and relentless attacks on the president.
