Following Klaus Schwab’s sudden exit this week, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced that former Nestle CEO Peter Brabeck-Letmathe will replace him as interim chairman.
Schwab decided to step down on Monday, after 55 years of leading the globalist organization he founded, according to the official release.
“Following my recent announcement, and as I enter my 88th year, I have decided to step down from the position of Chair and as a member of the Board of Trustees, with immediate effect,” said Schwab, according to the official announcement.
The WEF’s board of trustees also issued a statement on Schwab’s mysterious, sudden resignation, saying:
“At a time when the world is undergoing rapid transformation, the need for inclusive dialogue to navigate complexity and shape the future has never been more critical.”
Earlier this month, as per a Reuters report, a WEF spokesperson said that Schwab will “start the process” of stepping down as chair of its board of trustees.
As per the report, there was no timeline given back then.
However, the spokesperson said that the process should be completed by January 2027.
The WEF has now appointed Brabeck-Letmathe as the interim chairman of the institution until they find a future chairman through a selection committee process.
A board meeting was held on Sunday, April 20, where the trustees took note of Schwab’s resignation.
After which, the board appointed Brabeck-Letmathe as Chairman ad interim.
However, Brabeck-Letmathe’s elitist ideology could give Schwab a run for his money.
In 2005, Brabeck-Letmathe infamously declared that “humans have no right to access free water.”
He has long pushed for strict control over the general public’s water usage.
Brabeck-Letmathe even argues that pools and car washes shouldn’t be a matter of personal choice.
He envisions a future where an authoritative global body determines how much water individuals can consume.
“To declare that, as a human being, you have a right to water is an extreme solution… like any other foodstuff, water should have a market value,” he claimed.

But here's what the media won’t tell you:
Brabeck was more than a businessman.
He was connected to global think tanks, Davos elites, WEF panels, and shadowy Bilderberg meetings.
He sat at the table with those who shape the world.— Kevin Miller (@hexagonsystems) April 22, 2025

Some insiders say Brabeck was a key player in the global technocracy — helping design a future where food, water, even life itself is monetized and controlled.
