Wesley Hunt: Democrats Covered Up Epstein Files to Protect ‘Weird Cabal’ of ‘Hollywood CEOs’

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) is demanding the release of the long-hidden files connected to the late Jeffrey Epstein, making it clear that the identities of his victims must be protected.

The second-term congressman and member of the House Judiciary Committee warns that Democrats covered up the Epstein files to protect a “weird cabal” which includes “Hollywood CEOs.”

Hunt, a father of three young children and a former U.S. Army Apache helicopter pilot, didn’t mince words when discussing the lengths he’d go to if his own children were harmed in the same way.

“If anybody harmed my children in that manner, I would rip out their thorax and feed it to them,” Hunt said bluntly during an appearance on “The Drill Down” podcast with Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers.

Hunt’s comments come as Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former associate, is set to testify before Congress.

Maxwell has been subpoenaed by Rep. James Comer’s (R-KY) House Oversight Committee.

Although Congress is currently on Summer recess, Maxwell’s testimony is expected within the next week.

The situation is adding fuel to the fire surrounding the long-running Epstein scandal.

Maxwell is currently serving time for her role in trafficking underage girls for Epstein.

Hunt has been vocal about the need for accountability, particularly pointing out the glaring lack of investigation into figures within the left-wing elite and Hollywood who may have been complicit in covering up Epstein’s crimes.

He questioned why nothing has come to light regarding the previous administrations of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, emphasizing:

“For those that think that President Trump was on that flight or on Epstein Island, let me tell you, we would already know about it.”

Hunt also criticized the current hysteria around the Epstein case.

The congressman noted that if there was anything damning related to the president’s involvement, it would have been exposed long ago, especially considering the Democrats’ aggressive attacks during Trump’s political rise.

“There’s no doubt that we would have known about it before the first time that he ran,” Hunt said, pointing out the absurdity of the accusations.

“One of Trump’s great gifts is his ability to bring out the worst in his opponents,” Schweizer remarked in the interview.

In addition to his commentary on the Epstein case, Hunt discussed other hot-button issues, such as the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” that includes provisions aimed at restricting Medicaid access to illegal aliens.

Hunt stressed the importance of protecting American citizens, stating:

“I did not fight for this country to put Americans second.”

His remarks about birthright citizenship also highlighted his belief that the founding fathers never intended for non-citizens to benefit the same way as those whose families have contributed to this country for generations.

Hunt also reflected on the financial burden that illegal immigration places on the American taxpayer, mentioning a report estimating that $4.2 billion in food stamp funds have been allocated to non-citizens.

“When you think about the slaves in my background, this is why birthright citizenship was created – for them,” Hunt said.

“But when you think about people that are coming into this country, having children, and then they get the same rights as those whose families worked the land in this country as slaves, getting the exact same rights?

“That’s not what the founding fathers intended.”

Hunt, who represents a district in suburban Houston, doesn’t plan on making a career out of Washington politics.

“My generation doesn’t do anything for long,” he joked, adding that his goal in D.C. is to help bridge the gap between older members of Congress and Millennials.

Hunt, who is a West Point graduate with two master’s degrees, has been speculated as a potential candidate for a position in the Trump administration.

“If the president called me, I’d be thrilled to serve,” Hunt said, noting his satisfaction with Trump’s first term in office and his swift action on his agenda.

“People are happy with what we’re seeing,” Hunt added.

“He already knows where the bathrooms are and where the skeletons are.”
