White House Slams CNN for Peddling ‘Fake News’ on Iran Strikes

The liberal corporate media spin machine kicked into overdrive this weekend after President Donald Trump unleashed a bold and successful military operation on Iran’s nuclear sites.

However, the White House is firmly pushing back against those outlets pushing “fake news” about the strikes.

CNN, the once-respected outlet that’s now become little more than a Democrat talking-point distribution center, ran a story on Sunday claiming top Democrats in Congress were “left in the dark” about the Iran strikes.

But White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt quickly set the record straight: It’s “fake news.”

“This is Fake News,” Leavitt posted on X.

“The White House made bipartisan courtesy calls to Congressional Leadership and spoke to @SenSchumer before the strike.

“@RepJeffries could not be reached until after, but he was briefed. @CNN please retract.”

That’s a clear message from the Trump White House: we don’t bow to fake narratives.

President Trump authorized “Operation: Midnight Hammer” on Saturday night.

The operation sent shockwaves through Iran’s nuclear program with pinpoint strikes on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — three of the Islamic regime’s most critical nuclear facilities.

The operation was swift, clean, and effective.

According to the White House, U.S. warplanes delivered a full payload to cripple Iran’s underground bunkers.

Trump later announced the success of the mission on Truth Social, praising the U.S. military and urging peace.

While the American public celebrated strength and leadership, Democrats were busy fuming, not at Iran, but at Trump.

CNN’s report alleged that while House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) were properly briefed ahead of the mission, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) were not informed until after the bombs had dropped.

But Leavitt was clear: Schumer was contacted before the strike, and Jeffries was briefed as soon as he could be reached.

The only thing missing from CNN’s report was the truth.

Despite the White House’s clarity, both Schumer and Jeffries still found time over the weekend to attack Trump.

The Democrat leaders were not attacking Trump over the Iranian threat, but for supposedly bypassing Congress.

Schumer, ever the partisan operator, called on Republican leadership to enforce the War Powers Act, saying:

“No president should be allowed to unilaterally march this nation into something as consequential as war with erratic threats and no strategy.”

Schumer conveniently failed to mention that Iran is enriching uranium, launching missiles, and threatening Israel and America.

CNN has not responded to the backlash and is apparently refusing to retract the false story or correct the record.

Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) and Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), both on key intelligence committees, were reportedly not briefed until after the mission, prompting pearl-clutching from the usual suspects.

However, Trump was protecting operational security in a high-stakes mission against a hostile, nuclear-obsessed regime.

President Trump acted decisively, strategically, and successfully.

Iran’s nuclear ambitions were dealt a serious blow, U.S. troops were not deployed on the ground, and the message was sent loud and clear: America won’t be pushed around.

But instead of standing with their country, Democrats and their media allies chose to whine about notifications and process.

Once again, Trump puts America first, and the Left puts politics over patriotism.

This is why we need Trump in the White House: bold action, real leadership, and no apologies.
