Whoopi Goldberg Calls for Trump’s Removal with 25th Amendment Over UN Speech

On Wednesday’s episode of “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg called for invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office.

She made the call in response to Trump’s fiery address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.

Goldberg claimed during the ABC propaganda show that world leaders are no longer laughing at America under Trump but are instead “really concerned for us.”

While criticizing the president’s tough approach to Ukraine and Russia, she fumbled through an attempt to recall the constitutional process for removing a sitting president.

“What is the amendment, the 20—” Goldberg began.

Embarrassingly, Goldberg’s fellow co-hosts then tried to guess what she meant.

Sunny Hostin, an attorney, eventually guessed that Goldberg was referring to the 25th Amendment.

“That’s when you start questioning someone’s competence and mental acuity,” Hostin explained.

Goldberg quickly insisted her criticism wasn’t partisan.

She argued that former President Joe Biden’s degraded mental state was comparable to Trump making political statements that liberals disagree with.

“Well, they questioned Biden’s competence,” Goldberg blasted.

“If Biden had acted like this, I would have said take him and sit him down somewhere.

“But this was not — this was not presidential, and this was not helpful.”

The 25th Amendment lays out procedures for presidential succession.

The constitutional amendment can be invoked if a president is incapacitated or otherwise unable to discharge the duties of the office.

Goldberg or the other co-hosts didn’t clarify how this applies to President Trump.

The exchange followed an earlier debate about Trump’s comments at the UN.

During his speech, the president touted his record of ending seven international conflicts and warned the organization about the dangers of globalism and uncontrolled migration.

Hostin accused Trump of lying in an attempt to bolster his case for a Nobel Peace Prize.

She claimed Americans oppose honoring him, citing a Washington Post/Ipsos poll that allegedly shows 76% of the newspaper’s left-wing readers say Trump doesn’t deserve the award.

Alyssa Farah Griffin was the lone co-host to break from the panel’s criticisms.

She argued that if Trump is able to bring about peace between Russia and Ukraine, he would indeed deserve recognition.

Goldberg pushed back, calling Trump’s approach “frightening” and warning it would only “lead to another about-face.”

“They are worried for us,” Hostin chimed in.

“And I want to say this about Americans.

“Seventy-six percent of Americans say Trump doesn’t deserve to win the Nobel Peace Prize. …

“His own country doesn’t think that!”

Hostin didn’t provide any supporting evidence for her claims, however, and no world leaders have publicly expressed “worry” for the American people under Trump.

The heated panel underscored what has become a familiar dynamic on “The View” as Trump’s critics reach for the most extreme measures to undermine him.

The propaganda show continues to use these divisive tactics even as the president pursues foreign policy goals his predecessors failed to achieve.
