Jill Biden Tells Texas Hispanics They’re as ‘Unique’ as ‘Breakfast Tacos’

During a visit to Texas to try and drum up support for President Joe Biden and the Democrats, First Lady Jill Biden told Hispanic voters that they are like “breakfast tacos.”

The first lady was to Texas as Hispanics turn away from Joe Biden and the Democratic Party in record numbers.

However, the “doctor” may have only made matters worse for her husband.

During a speech, Jill Biden told a group of Texas Hispanic voters that they are as “unique” as “breakfast tacos.”

“Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community, as distinct as the bogedas of The Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio,” Biden said.

According to the White House transcript, Jill Biden said in part:

“Yes, the Latino community is unique.

“But what I’ve heard from you, again and again, is that you want what all families want.

“Good schools. Good jobs. Safe neighborhoods.

“You want justice and equality—the opportunity to build a better life for your families.

“It’s not only what all families want; it’s what all families deserve. But we can’t get those things on our own.

“Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community—as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio—is your strength.”

The event where the first lady spoke is the largest gathering of Hispanic advocates, KENS reported.

“Each year the UnidosUS Annual Conference is the premier event devoted to the diverse Hispanic community that is moving our country forward,” the conference notes on its website.

Biden’s comments come at a time when the president is seeking to reach out to Hispanic voters, who have voiced displeasure with his job performance.

In Texas, Republican Mayra Flores won a special election for the 34th Congressional District in June.

That was a seat that Democrats had held for more than a century.

The district, which stretches from San Antonio down to the Rio Grande Valley on the Texas-Mexico border, is mostly Hispanic.
