Kellyanne Conway Accuses Biden of ‘Trying to Buy Votes’

President Donald Trump’s former senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway has accused Joe Biden of “trying to buy votes.”

Conway went on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show last night and blasted Democrat President Joe Biden’s latest student loan forgiveness stunt.

She argues that the move is an attempt to win favor among college-educated voters while giving nothing to those who didn’t have the opportunity to go on to higher education.

Hannity said: “I paid my student loans back and I didn’t even get to finish college because I ran out of money.

“Giving free money to people in the form of loan forgiveness is not something I quite comprehend.”

Conway said: “It’s not fair to the welders, the carpenters, the hairdressers, the people who chose not to go to college or couldn’t afford to go.

“It’s also not fair to the people who have paid off their student loans because they’ve made personal financial sacrifices to allow them to do that.

“We are making things more expensive because they continue to spend money that we don’t have on things that we don’t need,” Conway adds.

“Biden is trying to buy votes for doctors, lawyers, and MBA holders who are in their 40s and somehow getting student loan forgiveness now,” she said.

According to NBC News:

“The Biden administration announced Wednesday that it will cancel up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers who earn $125,000 a year or less and up to $20,000 for recipients of Pell Grants.

“Couples who earn $250,000 a year or less and file taxes jointly will also qualify for cancellation of up to $10,000 for each partner.

“The administration is also extending the payment pause on federal student loans for a final time through Dec. 31.”

Biden said in a statement:

“In keeping with my campaign promise, my Administration is announcing a plan to give working and middle-class families breathing room as they prepare to resume federal student loan payments in January 2023.”
