Kellyanne Conway: ‘Never Seen Anything Like’ Biden’s Loss of Support in First Year

Former presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway said she has “never seen anything like” Democrats President Joe Biden’s constantly sinking poll numbers during his first year in office.

Conway said the huge loss of support is a “big problem” for Democrats ahead of the looming midterm elections.

Speaking with Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria” today, Conway said Biden is putting the Democrat Party in a terrible position.

“Biden, heading into the summer and fall, is putting his party in a terrible position,” she warned.

Conway continued by adding that, in her long, storied career as a top Republican pollster, she has “never seen anything like” Biden’s plummeting numbers that saw him lose 20% support in a year.

She said Biden is “in the 30s in his approval rating on crime, inflation, immigration, and the economy, which are among the top issues” with key voting blocks where Biden is seeing his numbers tank.

She said: “I’ve never seen anything like it.

“President’s job approval rating overall, Maria, declining 20 points in just one year.

“He’s in the 30s and his approval rating on crime, inflation, immigration, economy, which are among top issues, particularly to independents and suburban women, where he’s really declining.

“It’s going to big problem for Democrats in the midterms.”

Conway says the polls are clear and that “people are suffering economically” because of soaring inflation and “they blame Biden and the Democrats for this.”

She said:

“The Republicans should have a monster fall.” but they need to go on offense on all issues” and “make Biden’s problems, Democrat problems.”

“You’ve got to make the Biden failings, Democratic failings,” she said.

From The Hill:

President Biden’s approval rating has fallen to its lowest point in the latest CBS News and YouGov poll.

Biden’s approval rating ticked down to 42 percent in early April, according to the poll, which CBS News said is its lowest yet. Fifty-eight percent of respondents said they disapprove of the way Biden is handling his job as president.

The president’s latest approval rating is down slightly from February and March, when 43 percent said they approved of how Biden was handling his job.

In January and November, 44 percent gave Biden positive marks, and in August, his approval rating as tracked by CBS News and YouGov was 50 percent. By comparison, he had a 62 percent approval rating in March 2021.

Respondents in the new survey gave the president the worst marks for his handling of inflation, which has skyrocketed in recent months and is affecting Americans at grocery stores and gas pumps. Thirty-one percent of respondents said they approve of the way Biden is handling inflation, while 69 percent said they disapprove of it.

Annual inflation reached 7.9 percent in March — the highest rate since 1982 — which has caused prices to increase.
