DeSantis Gets Standing Ovation for Changing Game before Midterms: ‘This Is a Crisis, It’s Now Getting a Little More Attention’

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis brought down the house in Kansas when he told the crowd in Olathe that the immigration crisis at the Southern Border is on the ballot in the midterms.

DeSantis received a standing ovation from the audience for taking the issue to the doorstep of wealthy Democrat elites by flying 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

“This is a crisis,” DeSantis declared at the Turning Point Action rally for Wisconsin gubernatorial nominee Tim Michels.

“It’s now getting a little bit more attention.”

DeSantis said later in Wisconsin: “This border is now an issue in these elections.

“And I think it’s something that our candidates need to take.

“You’re talking about 50 people.

“Did they get them employed?

“Did they get them set up?

“No,” the Florida governor said.

“They called out the National Guard and they deported those people off the island the very next day.

“Now we see that’s just self-congratulatory virtue signaling.”

Conservative radio host Pete Mundo praised DeSantis at the event, saying that the flights were “one of the most savvy political moves I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.”

Noted liberal Charlamagne Tha God hailed the move by DeSantis as “genius.”

“I personally think it’s genius,” Charlamagne said.

“But I wish that governors like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott would give Democratic governors and mayors more of a heads-up.

“Because then, that would expose the hypocrisy of the Democrats, which is, they don’t want immigrants here either.”

According to The Daily Mail:

A spokesperson for DeSantis said in a statement that the trip was part of the state’s ‘relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations.’

DeSantis had been following the cue of his Texas and Arizona counterparts, who are busing scores of migrants who crossed into the US illegally to New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

Texas’ Republican Gov. Greg Abbott sent two busloads of migrants to Harris’ doorstep on Thursday after the vice president claimed the border was ‘secure.’

‘VP Harris claims our border is ‘secure’ & denies the crisis,’ Abbott tweeted, claiming responsibility for the move.

‘We’re sending migrants to her backyard to call on the Biden Administration to do its job & secure the border.’
