Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has condemned the “deranged rhetoric” from Democrats Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) after a “lunatic” tried to “murder Justice Kavanaugh.”
Cruz was responding after armed leftist Nicholas John Roske was arrested for trying to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The Texas senator called out Schumer and Waters on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show last night.
“The Left is angry and the rhetoric that comes from their political leaders, from the radical extreme, is getting more and more heightened,” Cruz said.
“And the problem is what we saw early this morning with the lunatic that came to murder Justice Kavanaugh.
“It is a crime, it is a felony to protest outside a judge’s home while a judge is considering a case.
“You have Joe Biden’s White House urging people to commit felonies.
“And we’re seeing the effect of their rhetoric and it’s dangerous.
“The radical Left hates their political opponents and they condone violence as a means of getting what they want.”
Cruz said Roske “followed through on deranged rhetoric from elected Democrats” pointing to Waters.
Waters called for supporters to publicly confront Republicans while Schumer promised Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch that they will “pay the price” for their pro-life views.
Cruz also slammed Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration for “encouraging” illegal protests in front of justices’ Maryland and Virginia residences.
In March 2020, during a speech at a pro-abortion rally, Chuck Schumer said:
“Now, we stand here today because behind me, inside the walls of this court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion rights cases since Kavanaugh and Gorsuch came to the bench.
“We know what’s at stake.
“Over the last three years, women’s reproductive rights have come under attack in a way we haven’t seen in modern history.
“From Louisiana to Missouri, to Texas, Republican legislatures are waging a war on women, all women, and they’re taking away fundamental rights.
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price.
“You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he said.
He was angry about the Court’s leaked ruling in Roe and the lack of gun control, and reportedly sought to kill Justice Kavanaugh in response.

The Supreme Court issued a statement that said:
“At approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s residence.
“The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh.
“He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District.”
