A 25-year-old banker has dropped dead suddenly while playing soccer at an industry event, according to reports.
Adnan Deumic was a credit trader who worked at Bank of America.
Deumic collapsed and died suddenly on Thursday night, a report by Yahoo/Bloomberg confirmed.
The credit portfolio and algorithmic trader reportedly “collapsed of a suspected cardiac arrest.”
Deumic did not respond to medical treatment, including CPR, the report reveals.
In a statement on the tragedy, the bank commented:
“The death of our teammate is a tragedy, and we are shocked by the sudden loss of a popular, young colleague.
“We are committed to providing our full support to Adnan’s family, his friends, and to our many employees grieving his loss.”
Working out of Bank of America’s London office, the trader was “active in sports,” the report says.
It notes that he was a native of Sweden and also played ice hockey.
No official cause of death has yet been announced.
It comes just two weeks after another Bank of America employee died suddenly after suffering from unexpected heart failure.
As Slay News reported, 35-year-old Leo Lukenas III died just one year into the investment banking job.
The father-of-two previously served as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army’s Special Forces.
He moved to banking last summer in an attempt to “pursue new opportunities for his family,” according to his loved ones.
Lukenas’ death was officially attributed to “natural causes.”
It was determined he died from “acute coronary artery thrombus.”
One junior banker at BoA said of Lukenas’ death:
“I think what we all would want is some acknowledgment about what happened.”
The company said its focus is on “doing whatever we can to help and support the family and our team who are devastated.”
The bank is also paying for any staff to attend the late banker’s funeral, it said.
The deaths come amid soaring numbers of young and apparently healthy people dying suddenly.
Earlier this week, Slay News reported that 34-year-old Emily Goldberg tragically died suddenly after suffering an unexpected blood clot following a battle with cancer.
Goldberg died on April 3 in La Jolla, California, due to a pulmonary embolism.
The condition is where a blood clot obstructs and halts blood flow to an artery in the lung.
According to a Yale University study, pulmonary embolism can be caused by Covid mRNA vaccines.
The study notes that the condition has been soaring since the rollout of the injections.
Goldberg’s death came as a major shock to many.
She was a prominent figure on social media and previously dated the world-famous late Swedish DJ Avicii, real name Tim Bergling.
Berling was found dead in 2018 at the age of just 28.
