The overwhelming majority of American voters say they want CBS News to release the full, unedited “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris after it emerged that the recording had been deceptively edited.
As Slay News previously reported, CBS News released teaser clips from the interview with the Democrat presidential nominee before the show was broadcast.
However, when the “full” interview was televised, viewers noticed that the footage had been deceptively edited to help the Harris campaign.
CBS provoked a backlash by deceptively editing the Harris interview to replace her word-salad answer with something more coherent and preferential to the Democrat campaign.
“60 Minutes” host Bill Whitaker asked Harris why it seemed like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t listening to the United States.
In the original version, Harris replied:
“Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”
However, in the version that aired, Harris’s answer was:
“We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.”

President Donald Trump responded by demanding that CBS release the full unedited interview footage to show the American people why the network had to run damage control for Harris.
Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s National Press Secretary, blasted the network for “deceptively” editing Harris’s answer “to lessen Kamala’s idiotic response.”
“Why did 60 Minutes choose not to air Kamala’s full word salad, and what else did they choose not to air?” asked Leavitt in a Tuesday night statement.
“The American people deserve the full, unedited transcript from Kamala’s sit-down interview.
“We call upon 60 Minutes and CBS to release it.
“What do they, and Kamala, have to hide?”
Trump also posted about it on Truth Social, writing:
“I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (‘cut and pasted’) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again, some by as many as four times in a single sentence or thought…”
Trump argues that CBS helping Harris may have been a “major Campaign Finance Violation.”
He also suggested that the scandal is a “stain on the reputation of 60 minutes that is not recoverable.”
And now it appears that the American people agree with Trump.
Almost 90 percent of voters say that want CBS to release the full transcripts from Harris’s “60 Minutes” interview.
However, it isn’t just Republicans who want to know what CBS is trying to hide.
According to a new Harvard Harris poll, 87% of Democrats, 88% of Republicans, and 80% of independents think CBS should “release the full transcript of its interview with Kamala Harris.”
81% of Republicans think CBS edited the interview to make Harris look better.
However, 50% of independents agree the interview was deceptively edited along with just 27% of Democrats.
