Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) appears to be panicking as President Donald Trump’s chances of being reelected in 2024 grow stronger by the day.
During an MSNBC interview, Schiff responded to Trump’s smash-hit town hall with CNN on Wednesday.
According to MSNBC, however, CNN was “platforming sedition and lies” by hosting the event with Trump.
Speaking with MSNBC’s “All In” host Chris Hayes, Schiff suffered an anti-Trump meltdown and tried to strike fear into the viewers over the chance of the 45th president being reelected.
“If Donald Trump becomes president again, that could be the end of our Democratic Republic,” Schiff declared.
Hayes told the congressman that he “thinks often about the speech” that Schiff gave at the closing arguments of Trump’s first impeachment trial.
In those closing arguments, Schiff warned that Trump couldn’t be trusted to do the right thing.
Schiff insisted that he “knew” Trump couldn’t be trusted.
Hayes and Schiff then concurred that Trump is “less subtle than he’s ever been about what his intentions are.”
Schiff then added:
“In fact, what we saw with the four years of his presidency, every time he was not held accountable unfailingly, he engaged in worse and worse misconduct.”
Schiff then said one of his biggest fears out loud: If Trump becomes president again, he would start where he “left off.”
“The constitutional crisis has not passed,” Schiff warned.

The comments from Schiff come as the California Democrat faces more allegations that he leaked highly classified information for years in order to damage Trump.
Trump’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently claimed that he was forced to limit how much information he gave to Schiff and his staff.
Pompeo said he feared that it would be weaponized and selectively leaked to the media if it fell into Schiff’s hands.
“During my time as CIA director and secretary of state, I know that he leaked classified information that had been provided to him,” Pompeo said.
“Outnumbered” co-host Emily Compagno, after emphasizing what a huge problem that is, asked Pompeo why there hadn’t been any accountability if leaking that kind of information is “a felony at a minimum, up to treason.”
“It’s a complicated process, right? It’s difficult to pin down precisely what happened,” Pompeo said.
“But I could tell you that when we provided information to him and to his staff, it ended up in places it shouldn’t have been with alarming regularity.
“We could see it,” he noted.
“In the end, I decided I held back information from them as a result.”
