Alan Dershowitz Clears Name as Accuser Comes Clean: ‘I Now Recognize I May Have Made a Mistake’

Alan Dershowitz has managed to clear his name after his accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, dropped her allegations against him and came clean by admitting she “may have made a mistake.”

Giuffre has stated that she may have been mistaken in accusing Dershowitz of being one of the men Jeffrey Epstein trafficked her to.

Dershowitz has long denied the claims and sued her, with Giuffre suing him back.

Yesterday Giuffre said after settling a lawsuit: “I have long believed that I was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein to Alan Dershowitz.

“However, I was very young at the time, it was a very stressful and traumatic environment, and Mr. Dershowitz has from the beginning consistently denied these allegations.

“I now recognize that I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr. Dershowitz.

“This litigation has been very stressful and burdensome for me and my family, and we believe it is time to bring it to an end and move on with our lives.”

Legal scholar Jonathan Turley said:

“There is an extraordinary concession by Virginia Giuffre in the settlement agreement with Alan Dershowitz: ‘I now recognize I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr. Dershowitz.’

“Both have agreed to drop their respective cases related to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

“She also stated ‘I have long believed that I was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein to Alan Dershowitz. However, I was very young at the time, it was a very stressful and traumatic environment, and Mr. Dershowitz has from the beginning consistently denied these allegations.’

“The settlement is a sudden end to some of the most protracted and bitter litigation in the federal courts.

“For Dershowitz, the statement is a major win in his effort to clear his name.

“While this is not a total admission by Giuffre, her stated doubt is in sharp contrast to her past public claims.

“The allegation was often used by critics to attack Dershowitz, who has been treated as persona non grata for offering dissenting views on contemporary legal issues.”
