The “star witnesses” presented by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg have ended up derailing the so-called “hush money” trial against President Donald Trump.
One of the witnesses even confessed to committing serious crimes during their testimony.
In fact, the crimes they admitted to are more serious than the allegations Trump is standing trial for.
Bragg’s “star witnesses,” Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen, are now learning the hard way that taking down Trump isn’t going to be as easy as the Democrats had hoped.
Additionally, Bragg’s witnesses are also admitting that Trump isn’t the evil figure that the Democrat prosecution is portraying him to be.
Trump’s enemies have been trying so hard to destroy him that they are throwing all caution to the wind.
In the process, they are implicating themselves in serious crimes while trying to paint Trump as a criminal.
Both Daniels and Cohen thought they might become heroes in the eyes of liberal America for helping take down Trump.
Cohen even admitted from the witness stand that he’s considering a run for Congress, reportedly as a Democrat.
Instead, they’ve only exposed what terrible people they are and destroyed their own credibility in the process.
Daniels had alleged for years that her claimed relationship with Trump was completely consensual.
She even signed legal forms stating that was the truth.
Once it became her turn to testify, she completely changed that story in order to portray Trump as a predator.
This move has backfired, however.
Instead, she just ruined any credibility she had left, and now her husband is saying that the disgraced couple may flee the country as a result.
Then, Cohen completely embarrassed himself on the stand by telling America that he was the real criminal all along, not Trump.
Cohen was forced to admit under oath that he stole thousands of dollars from the Trump Organization.
Even CNN’s legal experts admit that Cohen “dropped a bomb on the prosecution” with this confession.
The simplified version of Michael Cohen’s testimony is that either Cohen or Cohen and Trump committed crimes.
But according to the Left, only Trump must be convicted while Cohen is celebrated.
The humor of the situation wasn’t even lost on CNN.
When even left-leaning networks are mocking the prosecution like this, things are looking up for Trump.
“The way this was raised and addressed on direct is what Julia Louis-Dreyfus would call, ‘Yada yada yada,’” CNN’s anti-Trump legal analyst Elie Honig began.
“I mean here’s what Michael Cohen said.”
The CNN panel then had a brief back-and-forth about who actually said “yada yada” on the show, but the conclusion was that Cohen was simply expecting America to ignore his crimes (such as stealing from Trump) and focus on looking at Trump in a negative light.
Honig continued:
“The direct testimony, the way Michael Cohen explained what happened.
“Michael Cohen explained this whole thing, quote: ‘That’s what was owed and I didn’t feel Mr. Trump deserved the difference.’
“That’s a lot different than ‘I stole $60,000 from my boss on the transaction at the heart of this case.’
“And by the way, the fact that he was ever charged with larceny is important because stealing $60,000 through fraud, which would be larceny in New York State, is more serious of a crime than falsifying business records.”
