Another Sex Scandal Rocks CNN

Another new sex scandal has rocked CNN and led to the ouster of host Jake Tapper’s executive producer.

Last year former CNN chief Jeff Zucker resigned after his relationship with top executive Allison Gollust was exposed.

Now, Tapper’s executive producer is out over a relationship with a subordinate, according to Page Six.

Federico Quadrani was booted from the network last week after it surfaced that he was messing around with a staffer.

According to Page Six, Quadrani was, at the time, under an HR-led “investigation of sorts” over rumors of an inappropriate relationship.

However, the probe failed to produce any evidence of the affair.

Tapper was said to be aware of the relationship.

“There were some complaints,” a source told Page Six.

“No one had proof, and these things are hard to prove.

“Jake was aware of the investigation.”

After HR came up empty and was ready to move on and close the investigation, Tapper was “presented with something that he couldn’t ignore,” sources told the New York media outlet.

A source said:

“Jake was made aware of it and acted quickly.

“Someone discovered something accidentally and brought it to Tapper.

“He delivered it to human resources, and they were terminated.”

According to Page Six:

A spokesperson for CNN would “not comment on personnel matters,” and Quadrani did not get back to us by deadline.

Quadrani joined Tapper’s show in 2013 from MSNBC and relocated from NYC to Washington, DC.

He’d previously worked at “Today” from 2003 to 2009, and was at ABC’s “Good Morning America” from 1998 to 2003.

…Despite Quandrani and the subordinate “both missing” from CNN’s Washington bureau on Friday, “they’re consenting adults and no one’s particularly feeling like this is some big scandal,” the second source concluded.

RadarOnline confirmed Page Six’s reporting:

Jake Tapper’s executive producer was ousted from CNN last week after it was revealed he was embroiled in at least two inappropriate newsroom romances with network subordinates, RadarOnline.com can confirm.

Federico Quadrani, who served as Tapper’s executive producer before being fired from CNN on Friday, reportedly hooked up with two CNN subordinates – including a senior producer at the network.
