AOC Calls for Congress to Expel Republicans Who Asked Trump for Pardon

Celebrity Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has called on Congress to expel her Republican colleagues who sought pardons from President Donald Trump over Jan. 6.

AOC made the calls during an appearence on CBS’s “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.

AOC said: “I will say, bare minimum, those who specifically thought pardons for themselves should be expelled from the United States House of Representatives beyond a shadow of a doubt.

“Because if you are a duly elected official and in seeking a pardon, as you mentioned, you are consciously committing, you are admitting to committing a crime.

“What that means is that they were willing to commit crimes in order to illegally seize power.

“And no person of any party should be willing to do that in order to undermine our democracy.

“But that’s just the bare minimum.”

“I do believe that many of these individuals need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law in order to establish and to prove to ourselves and to the world that there is rule of law in the United States of America,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

As Slay News previously reported, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly called AOC a “moron” after the liberal New Yorker called for some Supreme Court justices to be impeached for the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Kelly said AOC is more like a “Kardashian in Congress” than a professional lawmaker.

Kelly joined Newsmax’s Eric Bolling on Monday night to discuss the public fallout from Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

The SCOTUS ruling has triggered widespread outrage from the Left after it overruled Roe and rolled back the federal protections for abortion rights.

While speaking about the reaction from Democrats, Bolling said Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is “coming at the judges pretty darn hard.”

“Well, I’ll distinguish between the two because I think AOC is a moron,” Kelly responded.

“I think Elizabeth Warren is smart — she’s ideological and not necessarily aligned with you or with myself — but I think AOC is not that smart, and she really just wants to be a star.

“She’s sort of a Kardashian in Congress,” Kelly said, likening the congresswoman to members of the reality TV show family.

“I guarantee you she hasn’t read the decision, and I guarantee you she has no understanding of what substantive due process is, or the history of any of what she’s talking about.”

Kelly said AOC’s impeachment push was “ridiculous,” saying it “will go nowhere,” before adding “all the justices play a little fast and loose with how they’re going to decide cases and how they’re going to treat precedent.”

She continued: “These guys haven’t done anything wrong.

“They have interpreted the Constitution according to their judicial philosophy.

“People like Maxine Waters are out there saying we’re not going to follow it.

“You know what? You know what I have to say to her?

“Yes, you are.

“You are going to have to follow it.

“Sorry, but your state is no longer going to perform abortions if you’re in a redder state, alright?

“She’s not, but women who are, are not going to be able to find abortions because the clinics are going to close down because doctors don’t want to go to prison.

“It’s called federalism, and if they would just continue reading the Constitution, some of these things might become clear to them without you and/or yours truly having to explain it,” she said.
