During a moment of fury while angrily ranting about Capitol Police, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed that “people on the inside” were “opening the doors wide open” on Jan. 6.
AOC made the remarks while yelling about the security on Capitol Hill after she was heckled by comedian Alex Stein outside Congress.
As Slay News reported, the celebrity congresswoman was heckled on the Capitol steps by Stein, who filmed the incident and posted it to social media.
While trying to get a rise out of AOC, Stein filmed himself calling AOC his “favorite big booty Latina.”
She took the bait and was outraged over the incident.
While complaining about the incident on Twitter, Ocasio-Cortez argued with Politico reporter Nicholas Wu, saying police rousted Stein after pressure from her and House Democrat leadership.
“FYI we had to escalate to House leadership to get them to stop him and run his info,” she said.

While still furious, AOC later spoke to a liberal reporter about the incident and posted a streaming video of her angry comments.
In her remarks to the reporter, Ocasio-Cortez accuses Capitol Police officers of conspiring with the January 6th rioters.
AOC says in the video:
These insurrectionists and that there were actual officers working with this, and we never got to the bottom of that, and we never got any answers about that.
And then to this day, we’re just supposed to pretend that that never happened.
I have no idea what happened to the people on the inside who were very clearly sympathetic with what was going on and opening the doors wide open for that.
And I’m supposed to sit here and pretend like none of that ever happened.

Allegations have previously emerged that the doors had been opened from the inside to allow the rioters into the Capitol building.
A US Marine veteran, who worked overseas at a US Embassy, told The Gateway Pundit that the doors on the US Capitol are electronically controlled magnetic locked doors.
He stated that someone inside the security booth at the US Capitol must have opened the doors.
“The only way those doors can be opened, if they want to be opened, is from inside a security booth that is also equipped with a magnetic lock,” he said.
“Now to give you an idea how strong they are, you could tie a chain to the handlebars of the door and tie it onto a truck,” he explained.
“And you can take off with the truck and it is probably going to rip the door handles off but it is not going to open that door.”
Free State Kansas also published a video of the magnetic doors being opened from the inside of the US Capitol.
