A beauty queen has tragically died suddenly at just 21 years old, her family has revealed.
Much-loved British beauty queen Chloe Roberts died just days after being crowned Miss Royal Somerset 2025.
She was preparing to compete in the finals of Miss Royal UK.
The rising star, from Somerset in England, had dedicated her platform to mental health awareness after losing a friend to suicide.
Royal UK Pageants announced the tragic news last Saturday, writing:
“It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our Miss Royal Somerset Chloe.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
“Rest in peace Queen, forever Miss Royal Somerset.”
Chloe used her pageant platform to promote her podcast, named “Talk It Out.”
Her podcast was streamed internationally on Spotify and was designed to ”stamp out stigma” regarding mental health.
She used it to spread awareness of issues that mattered to her including bipolar, epilepsy, and mental health.
However, she was not struggling with mental health issues herself.
Chloe started competing in pageants in 2019.
She tragically died just days after being crowned Miss Royal Somerset 2025.
The 21-year-old was readying herself to compete in the finals of Miss Royal UK.
Tributes have flooded in for the beauty queen with many taking to social media to share heartfelt messages.
Friends described her as “one if the kindest most caring individuals both online and in real life” and someone who was “adored by many” as well as being “a little grafter, funny, kind, sweet, and beautiful.”
A devastated friend of Chloe’s said:
“It’s devastating to make a post like this online but for those who aren’t aware, unfortunately, an incredible friend and inspiration to many of us on many levels has recently passed away.
“My heart breaks having to write this for all of the mutuals we shared.
“RIP to a beautiful woman, friend, model, and advocate – taken far too soon who will be missed more than words can say.”
Another mourner shared:
“Pageantland lost one of our kindest souls, Chloe you were a ray of sunshine and brought a smile to everyone faces.
“Miss teen Great Britain was your first pageant and I was thrilled to be able to introduce you into the crazy world of pageantry!
“Since your first go at MTGB you have grown so much, I was so excited to watch you shine on that stage again when you recently announced you were doing Royal.
“Rest easy Chloe, sending so much love and support to your family and friends.”
Miss Roberts, who trained as a nurse, spoke movingly about how she planned to serve the community.
She was also trying to battle negative attitudes toward beauty pageants after she became Miss Royal Somerset.
In a post announcing her win, she said:
“I’m super excited to be representing my hometown and volunteering this year across the county.
“I plan to work with local charities and businesses and interview them about their mental health perspectives for my podcast, Talk It Out, which is streamed on Spotify.”
“With the titles, you have the opportunity to raise awareness of anything you want, and my focus is around mental health and the prevention of suicide which I’m extremely passionate about.
“Unfortunately in 2021, I lost a close friend of mine to suicide, so I dedicate my platform as a legacy to her.”
Talking about how she wanted to improve the image of beauty pageants, she added earlier this month:
“The pageant industry these days isn’t what it used to be like.
“Many people, you say the word ‘pageant’ to them, and they typically think of Toddlers and Tiaras, or the age when it was all about the skinniest girl or the prettiest girl.
“These days, it’s nothing like that.
“It’s more about who you stand for as a person and your community and charity work.”
No cause of death has been revealed.
All details surrounding Roberts’ untimely passing are being withheld from the public.
