Lame-duck President Joe Biden has called on Democrat supporters to “beat the hell out” of Republicans.
He made the aggressive statement just a month after the failed assassination attempt against President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.
Biden yelled out the violent rhetoric during a rally for his replacement in the 2024 election, Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
It marked Biden’s first public appearance with Harrice since he dropped out of the race and endorsed the vice president as his replacement.
During his speech, Biden repeated the hoax that Trump is behind the Heritage Foundation’s “Project 25” – a series of initiatives that some Republicans want to push through during the next GOP administration.
However, Trump has distanced himself from the project as it isn’t related to his campaign.
Democrats often attempt to link Trump with the plan.
Nevertheless, Trump has rejected the association, dubbing the Democrats’ claims as a “pure disinformation” campaign.
“Let me tell you what our Project 2025 is: beat the hell out of them,” Biden shouted at the crowd.
Biden made the comments during an event in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Amid cheers from the audience, Biden yelled, “I mean it!”

The call for people to “beat the hell out of” their political rivals did not sit well with some on social media.
The Trump campaign blasted the remarks as “disgusting” in a post on X.
Trump’s campaign was among several other prominent X users who noted that Biden’s remark came a month after the attempted assassination against Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“Is this a call to violence?” asked the popular X account “Libs of TikTok.”
“If Trump said this, it would be wall-to-wall coverage on MSNBC for the next three weeks,” Collin Rugg responded.
He also quipped that The Washington Post “would be putting the ‘Democracy Dies in Darkness’ banner up” if Trump made the statement
Trump faced Biden in a June debate hosted by CNN.
In the weeks after Biden’s disastrous performance during the debate, a crisis of confidence erupted among his allies.
Shortly after, the president stepped aside under pressure and Harris took the top spot on the Democratic Party’s ticket.
Biden is expected to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago next week.
Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, and failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton are also slated to speak at the event.
Harris and her running mate, Minnesota’s radical Democrat Governor Tim Walz, are due to accept their nominations and deliver remarks.
