Democrat President Joe Biden had a narrow escape when he appeared to trip on stage while attending an event in Washington, D.C., to honor fallen officers.
The video, taken from a distance, shows the president heading to the stage at the event on Wednesday.
The event was to commemorate National Peace Officers Memorial Day, which honors law enforcement officials who died in the line of duty.
However, as he walks on stage, Biden slightly stumbles over one of the steps.
Biden narrowly avoids disaster as he manages to regain his balance without falling off the stage.
A photograph taken close to the stage as Biden walked up the stairs in front of the U.S. Capitol building appeared to show the stumble, as well.
RNC Research, an account run by the Republican National Committee, shared the video of the incident on X.
In a caption, the RNC wrote:
“Biden trips (again) as he’s led on stage at the National Peace Officers Memorial Service.”

The president’s age has become a point of concern among American voters.
Biden’s fitness has become a growing issue in anticipation of his expected rematch against President Donald Trump in November.
81-year-old Biden, who will turn 82 about two weeks after the general election, has faced an onslaught of criticism by Republicans, Democrats, and independents based on his age.
Many question whether Biden is fit to serve another four-year term.
A number of other social media users also shared the video.
Sharing the clip, The Post Millennial wrote:

“Biden trips, yet AGAIN. What an embarrassment.”
This is not the first time Biden has tripped while attending public events in the past few years.
In February, Biden was seen on video tripping twice while walking up the stairs to Air Force One, including after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw, Poland.
“VIGOR: Biden almost trips (twice) as he boards Air Force One — despite using the short stairs to avoid tripping,” RNC Research said in a post on X at the time.
The president also fell on stage in June 2023 while attending a graduation ceremony for the U.S. Air Force Academy in El Paso County, Colorado, as Slay News reported at the time.

Biden previously issued a statement honoring fallen officers in commemoration of the holiday:
“On Peace Officers Memorial Day and during Police Week, we recognize the incredible courage of our Nation’s police officers and honor the fallen heroes, whose ultimate sacrifice we can never repay.”
