Bill Gates Admits He ‘Was Foolish to Spend Any Time’ with Jeffrey Epstein: ‘Huge Mistake’

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has declared that his friendship with the late Democrat financier Jeffrey Epstein was a “huge mistake.”

During a new interview with the Wal Street Journal, Gates admitted that he “was foolish to spend any time” with the child sex trafficker and convicted pedophile.

Gates responded to questions about his secretive relationship with Epstein ahead of his new book release.

However, he only echoed remarks he had made in years past.

The 69-year-old billionaire authored “Source Code: My Beginnings.”

Gates’s book is set for release on February 4.

“In retrospect, I was foolish to spend any time with him,” Gates said of Epstein.

“I think I was quite stupid.

“I thought it would help me with global health philanthropy,” he claimed.

“In fact, it failed to do that. It was just a huge mistake.”

Epstein, a notorious child predator, pleaded guilty to procuring underaged girls in 2008.

He began a relationship with Gates in 2010 after he was released from prison for child sex crimes, according to a New York Post report.

Gates and Epstein are known to have met a handful of times before Epstein’s death in 2019.

Epstein was found dead in a jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Gates has frequently tried to downplay the relationship.

However, the Microsoft co-founder has been accused of flying on Epstein’s notorious private jet and visiting the child sex criminal’s “Pedophile Island” in the Caribbean.

Eptein’s luxury jet and secluded private island are key locations where victims say much of the abuse took place.

Gates admitted the situation made him more cautious of his connections.

His ex-wife, Melinda Gates, has said she was wary of his interactions with Epstein and met him personally on one occasion.

She told Gayle King in an interview in 2021 that Epstein was “evil personified.”

Melinda Gates cited Bill’s relationship with Epstein as one of the key factors in the breakdown of their marriage.

She told King that she “did not like that he’d had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein.”

“I made that clear to him,” Melinda Gates added.

She said she met with Epstein “exactly one time because I wanted to see who this man was.

“And I regretted it from the second I stepped in the door.

“He was abhorrent. He was evil personified.

I had nightmares about it afterward.

“So my heart breaks for these young women.

“On the day I got married, I never thought I would end up being divorced.

“I thought we had worked through some of that.

“There just came a point in time where there was enough there that I realized it just wasn’t healthy.

“And I couldn’t trust what we had.”
