Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is warning that the “next pandemic” will soon strike and is calling for “preparedness.”
Gates said the chance of another pandemic in the next four years is a source of great concern.
Concerns about the next pandemic, and how prepared the world is for it, have been rife since COVID-19 plunged the world into economic and healthcare turmoil amid the unprecedented breakout in 2020.
Gates, who has long been vocal about the threats of outbreaks of disease, is a major player in global health policies and initiatives.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Gates said he believes there is a 10-15 percent chance of a “natural pandemic” hitting in the next four years.
According to Gates, world governments should begin preparing now for a major virus outbreak.
“It’d be nice to think we’re actually more ready for that than we were last time, but so far we’re not,” Gates said.
When the reporter challenged him on this, he said: “We’re absolutely not [ready].”
However, Gates stopped short of clarifying how society can “prepare.”
“People, rather than having a consensus about what tools are missing, are mostly still replaying the various mistakes that were made,” Gates continued.
“So I wouldn’t say that we’re as far along as you’d expect after trillions of dollars and millions of lives have been lost.”
This is not the first time Gates has criticized how the world has handled the aftermath of the Covid pandemic.
In 2022, he wrote a book called “How To Predict the Next Pandemic” which called for stronger quarantine policies, more investment in disease monitoring, and increased vaccine research and development.
Gates’ comments come as the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) backed the theory that the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic most likely originated from a laboratory.
The CIA backed the lab-leak theory in an assessment released on Saturday by order of new Director John Ratcliffe.
While the CIA now thinks it is most likely that the virus originated from a biolab, a spokesperson for the agency said it “continues to assess that both research-related and natural origin scenarios of the COVID-19 pandemic remain plausible.”
Ratcliffe, who has long said he believes the virus escaped from a Chinese lab, had told Breitbart News on Friday that he no longer wanted the CIA to “be off the sidelines” of the debate around the origin of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense (MOD) has just accused billionaire Bill Gates of funding “bioterrorism-related activities with the goal of population reduction.”
The Russian MOD raised the alarm in a press briefing where officials asserted that the Gates Foundation is a primary sponsor of the U.S. African Biolab Complex, as Slay News reported.
Addressing the media, Major General Aleksei Rtishchev, Deputy Chief of the Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, warned:
“American specialists capable of enhancing the pathogenic functions of microorganisms are actively operating.”
Rtishchev claims that the Russian military has uncovered evidence showing that Gates has been funding U.S. biological activity in Africa.
Interestingly, Rtishchev also alleged that the Clinton Foundation is tied to the experiments.
During the briefing, Rtishchev stated:
“The US administration views the region as an unlimited natural reservoir of dangerous infectious agents and a testing ground for experimental medical drugs.”

Rtishchev also alleges the Gates Foundation has been conducting a project in 18 African countries to study the characteristics of infection occurrence and the resistance of pathogens to medical treatments.
McCullough Foundation epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher weighed in on the explosive allegations from Russia’s military.
The Russian Ministry of Defense briefing revealed that “the Gates Foundation is a primary sponsor of the U.S. African Biolab Complex,” Hulscher notes.
During an interview on Media Blackout with Marris Zeee, Hulscher raised the alarm about Gates’s efforts to trigger another pandemic while commenting on Russia’s warning.
